Did not want this match-up as San Antonio is gelling and looking solid at the right time. Like the old cliche: "in order to call yourself the best you have to beat the best" and I believe San Antonio is the best even though the Lakers can call themselves the defending champions.
On a side note, they were asking Suns coach Alvin Gentry about the prior Suns-Spurs match-ups after their series with Portland. He basically stated that Popovich is the best coach in the nba and that this is kind of a first time meeting between the two teams as the only previous players with post-season San Antonio playoff experience are Amare, Nash and Barbosa.

If REVENGE was the theme for the Mavs series then "We Meet Again" should be the theme for this one.
REVENGE is most definitely the theme for the Suns.
That, or "Not Again..."

:lol i think this series will be more competitive than usual as both teams elevated their play at the right time.

Should be an awesome series. I know the Suns are hungry for revenge just like the Spurs were against the Mavs.
Best scenario for me. I can get to watch my two favorite teams slug it out.
I'll be watching game 1 at the US Airways Center with my Spurs gear on.

Go Spurs Go. This ain't gonna be easy. I think this is probably the most complete team the Suns have had in the last several years.

If TD didn't hit that 3 pointer, Suns might have advanced and win the championship that year.
But this year's Suns is not that good. I see Spurs in 5 or 6.

Put a curb stompin' on these Suns fucks. I know you got it in ya. You was badass Vs the Mavsdom. I expect that same off court demeanor during this series. I don't want no love-in, hands reaching with curiosity & affection twixt you two.

Anyway, yeah it's going to be tough. Suns are definitely looking for revenge. May the best one win and I hope we see some beautiful basketball.

As good as the Suns are...I think this is a decent matchup for the Spurs...
These are the same run and gun Suns that don't play good defense. I know Amare is playing out of his mind but I think the Spurs can get stops when they need to...
I'm thinking Spurs in 6 here...but good luck to Suns fans

Phoenix is playing lights out. Plus this is the hurdle they've been wanting the jump for about 7 years now. This is their cities championship. Spurs are going to have their hands full.
They just got to keep pounding....And I believe they will prevail.

Does anybody know if Robin Lopez will remain out of the lineup for the series?

I would imagine the "revenge" theme is more for the Suns fans than the players. If the players get caught up in exacting revenge rather than the games themselves, this series is already over. That being said, I don't see that happening.
Just for fun though, Pop should bring Horry on the trips to Phoenix. :)

Just like dallas it will be all about pace we have to exploit matchups and make nash a scorer.
