I think his play will decide the series. The way he's been playing so far in these playoffs has been phenomenal. When he's shooting well, the suns seem to dominate. We all know Amare will get his 30ppg like he always does against us, and according to Pop thats the way he likes it. He'd rather have Amare shooting 50% in the paint than have the suns hitting their threes.

Personally, I don't think Jason Richardson can keep it up. George Hill will likely give him a harder time on the perimeter than anyone on the blazers did. Oh, and how could I forget this?:

The Spurs will be able to run their 3-guard lineup out there quite a lot against the Suns. What makes that so important is that against the Suns, that means Nash has to guard one of Parker, Ginobili or Hill.

I like that.

I bet Jefferson will have his best series of these playoffs here. The spurs run so well against the suns sometimes they beat them at their own game.

I expect Blair to perform well too. Phoenix have no big guys around the rim to alter shots. Amare blocks shots but they are usually weak-side help blocks, not around the rim and doesn't alter a lot of shots. Blair should be able to finish around the rim, it will just be up to whether has the touch or not.

he'll probably impact the games strongly depending how good/bad he plays, but I dont see him being something decisive TBH. the crux still has to hover around Nash & Amaré IMHO, and the final result will pretty much depend on how well Nash functions, as well as whether Amaré plays like the slack him of the stud of regular season or the vigorous one preceding ASG.

I'm looking for a big series out of both Blair and Bonner in order to put the suns down.. we need Blair to dominate the paint and Bonner to match some of the 3pt shooting of Phoenix.

Looked like Bonner was starting to show some confidence in that game 6 against Dallas, let's hope he can carry it over.

I think you'll see alot of small ball. I think you'll see alot of 3 guard lineups and RJ out there just due to that's who the Suns will run out there. I think RJ has a huge huge oppurtunity here to have a great series as I think Phoenix has 1 good perimiter defender in Dudley and they will stick him on Manu. RJ has to use his size and athleticism advantage. S
as does George hill I think he creates matchup problems as well. Tim DuncAn? They're throwing jarron Collins or Jason don't remember which brother they have, Louis admundson Channing fry and Amare stoudamire atcha. Yeah Tim 20 a night is expected.....

Hope to see a lot of the Beast in this series. He should own the glass on both ends.

Blair should see slightly more minutes and Duncan shouldn't have to play such heavy minutes either. Parker should BEAST they have zero people who can hang. Manu Parker and hill should be able to drive and get what they want with the lack of interior defense.

Blair dominating the paint? come on, the sky is blue and you can't crayon it any colour else. Blair is poor man's Amaré at finest. We're still going to count a lot on Duncan, the same guy we've been relying on ever since he joined us.

Anybody know the progress of Brook Lopez? His presence makes the Suns a better defensive team, though anything is an improvement for them.

Have to disagree. They have good several very good 1 on 1 defenders (Dudley, Hill, Dragic) and aren't shy about using doubleteams either (which negates the lack of interior shotblocking IMO)

Robin Lopez I heard might be playing so this would be a plus for the interior defense as well.

It's Robin and I don't know for sure but I heard he's going to play.

Double away. Just rotate the ball around to the open player.

Dudley yes, hill not great decent. Dragic is fundamentally good defender but his footspeed lacks against Parker Hill.

But Dudley can only guard one guy. Richardson is poor on the perimiter and could get into foul trouble which would really kill em. If he's replaced by Dudley u just stay on the perimiter and take away the three..

I think the x factors will be the benches mainly. And Richard Jefferson. Spurs are going to need some big games from RJ to take the heat off the big 3.

Regular season he's come up big in games vs the suns this year so this is a positive sign heading in.

put parker or ghill on nash and contain the other 3 players, we all know amare will get his

but just clog up the lane and force him to settle for jumpers of off balance hook shots

I think we have the deeper bench and like you mentioned if RJ can get going I think we have the edge.

I wish Mason could be deactivated, he has no business in there unless we are up 20 with 2 minutes to go.
