The dude is on fire right now. He destroyed us with his 3-point shooting. He's a tough cover if you're trying to stop Amare inside, but you better get somebody out there to bother him!

Blazers were decimated with injuries and still gave phx trouble. I tend to think we are over-estimating how dominant phx is looking.

But, thanks for getting JR really hot for us, that is appreciated.

J-Rich struggled in game 1 against the Blazer because he had to guard Miller. Then, Grant Hill took care of Miller and J-Rich took the rest of the series on vacation guarding ineffective Rudy and injured Roy. But the difference is that against the Spurs he'll be forced to guard either Ginobilli or Hill.

This is one of the keys to a SA victory IMHO but is contingent upon HIll/TP gettting into Nash's jersey and disrupting his game. J-Rich needs someone to spoon feed him and really hasn't shown me he can create his own shot. If Nash is free to wheel adn deal this series won't end up very well for SA.

The blue print for this game was laid when we last played Orlando. We are going to attack the basket to get Amare in foul trouble and closely guard the 3 point shooters. We will guard Amare one on one and let him take all the shots he wants until he fouls out. Once the fouls out, there goes there pick and roll and it becomes easy pickings. The only thing the Suns can do is to try and increase the tempo in an effort to coerce us into a fast play jump shooting contest.

It's much easier to make open shots. If the Spurs stop doubling you can expect JRich to shrivel as he usually does.

This guy will shrivel up in game 2. Spurs will make adjustments to this bum.

I would honestly agree, I think Terry is right up there with J Rich, if not better.

I hate JRich, he's a POS, but he's easily better than Jason Terry, especially with the way he's playing lately..

The Terry of 2006? Maybe. Terry of 2010? No way.

No offense to Mr. Terry, but he's not even sniffing JRich's sack at this moment in time.

Oh man, J Rich has been tearing it up to the point that few players.

For all the hoopla for the Spurs big 3, the Suns have a big 3 of their own.

Ya know, I criticized the Bell-Diaw/JRich-Dudley trade at the time it was made because I felt like the last thing the Suns needed was another scorer. But thinking back on it, one of the biggest reasons why the Suns failed against the Spurs in previous series was their lack of a dependable scorer outside of Amare and Nash. When the pressure was put on Shawn Marion, he shrank. When you look at the Spurs, they have 3 players who you can go to for consistent offense. And if one of them is off, the other two will pick it up. I wonder if Kerr had considered this when the trade was made.

Anyway, for the doubters out there, here are JRich's current numbers in this year's playoffs (7 games):

24.0 ppg
6.9 rpg
54% FG
51% 3PT
78% FT
32.7 mpg

Even as a Spur fan, Calling Terry better or par with J-rich is just plain stupid. J-rich is #3 on PER for a reason. This guy is shooting very well and could be the x-factor in this series. Tlong is right for once, if we don't stop J-rich, this is going to be a tough series for the Spurs no doubt.

Yeah what he and the Phoenix bench are doing is just plain ridiculous. He's averaging 8 more ppg in the playoffs...... He's shooting threes better than twos AND he leads the team in 3-point attempts :wow

Amazing post season for him.

Having said that, when does he and the Suns bench decide to come back to earth?
