View Full Version : Now seriously, Ginobili did not have such a good game...

as his 26 points would have you believe...

I mean, just look at the FG percentage... 7-19= 36%

I was pretty pissed at his inconsistency... And this coming from a fellow countryman...

BUT, and a big BUT...

That 3-pointer immediately after Nowitzki put Dallas ahead 57-56 with a 3-pointer...

I'd say THAT WAS THE KEY PLAY OF THE GAME. DALLAS NEVER LED AGAIN AFTER THAT. What would have happened if after Dirk's 3-pointer the Spurs didn't score on the next play to get the advantage again. Manu's 3 definitely killed their momentum.

Having said all this, I'm beginning to wonder -and I'm really concerned- if Ginobili's bandage is affecting his shooting more than anyone would think. As if that bandage is affecting his peripheral vision or something. Note that since he broke his nose his shooting percentage has decreased, and yesterday he failed some free throws...

He didn't have a good game? He hit the shot that mattered the most, shot 12 free throws, and made some passes to Hill that were huge.

The FTs were so clutch that it took the life out of the mavs completely. how many times have we seen him do that

He was being the focus of the Mavs defense, playing with a broken nose and still managed to get to the line 12 times and the team to play at his tempo. I think he did well.

Yet, i agree his shooting, specially his 3īpt shooting, seems way off at times.

well, none of our player, including the big 3, had a spectacular serie by himself. Only Dirk had.

but that's still a real pleasure to see the big 3 able to produce with help from 2/3 others players. A great teamwork.

i mean, just look at the fg percentage... 7-19= 36% --- beter than the 23% since the busted nose

Well…. he wasn’t impressive in the 4th but to be fair, dude got hacked pretty bad in at least two occasions while driving to the basket that the officials obviously didn’t call anything… and had some timing assists and FTs

36% isn't great from the field, but I'll take 26 pts on 19 shots.

I don't care that his FT numbers were padded by intentional fouling at the end. It shows the value of having someone to ice the game from the line down the stretch. In a close game, I can't think of anyone in the NBA I'd rather have at the line than Manu Ginobili.

26 points on 19 field goal attempts if way above the NBA average.
