Bosh asks Twitter followers to help decide future (http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=ap-bosh-twitter)
Chris Bosh is asking his Twitter followers to help decide his NBA future.
The five-time All-Star posted two messages to his almost 96,000 followers Friday night, ending a week of silence with a post that read: “Been wanting to ask. Where should I go next season and why?”
About an hour later, Bosh posted a second message that read: “Ok… Let me rephrase the question. Should I stay or should I go?”
Bosh is expected to opt out of the final year of his contract with the Toronto Raptors, leaving more than $17 million on the table, in order to join a free agent class that could also include LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Amare Stoudemire.
The seven-year veteran averaged career-highs with 24 points and 10.8 rebounds this year.

San Antonio for Tony Parker (2 years left), McDyess, and Jefferson (expiring) ;)
Any talk of trading a member of the big 3 is usually crazy but with the way Manu and Hill have been playing as starters; maybe its not so far out of an idea especially if they can grab a younger star big that could help extend their window. Teams think about all sorts of trades and after Pau Gasol you just can't keep your guard down on potential deals.

Spurs need Dick at 3.
Good point. They'd have to trust in Malik or maybe grab a budget SF..maybe pick one in the draft. Spurs system needs that guy to be a potential threat from 3 and plays defense. Manu/Hill/Bosh/Duncan/Malik or random SF doesn't sound too bad. Their bench would take a hit without Manu or Parker but would still have guys like Temple, Blair, and probably Tiago. I wonder if anyone around the league would be interested in dealing for Splitter as well.
Ah well this is just hypothetical bullshit anyway.

If Bosh seriously takes his twitter followers' advice into his own account, I'll probably register a legion of trolls there to brainwash him with several rounds of trolling barrage, so as to convince him Dallas will be the best to choose.

Yeah, but what if Dirk leaves?
He said he wants to be the man of the team so if Dirk leaves that spot is open.

Did he really?
I think that story is just a myth that has been repeated so frequently that it has been accepted as fact. I'm pretty sure it all started when this article in the DMN was referenced in an ESPN Insider headline that said something like "Bosh not interested in Dallas", but the original article said no such thing.

He said he wants to be the man of the team so if Dirk leaves that spot is open.
Then Dallas would be a fringe playoff team.

Amare owns that title
If Bosh replace Dirk, the Mavs would be a worse team. Not only is Dirk a better player, he has chemistry with his teammates. This isn't even taking into consideration that Dirk's Mavs teammates are just getting older and worse.
I'm not even sure Bosh + Dirk is a good combination. If Dallas is gonna chase big name, they should go after a premiere wing player like LeBron :lol, Wade, or Johnson.

But I'm telling you, if he came to San Antonio in a Parker/Bonner/whoever package, the Spurs would win two rings in a row before Timmy retires.
Otherwise I think he'll go to Miami and play alongside Wade. They'll still only be a Top 3 East team, but at least his lifestyle would be nicer. Toronto is a hole. A cold hole.

Bosh should consider the money he will get paid vs the cost of living where he will be moving to. He should consider the current roster, long term contracts, coaching staff, and chance to advance far in the playoffs.....he may have to take less to go to a solid contender, is he willing to do so? Then, he should consider the region he wants to live in. Does he want to live in a colder climate, a warmer climate, a drier climate, a wetter climate? Does he want to live in a large media market or a small media market?
