-Offensive rebounds: When a team only misses 19 points there is no way in hell you should be surrendering 5 offensive boards.

-Turnovers: 7 is too many against this team because of how well they run.

-Stop missing the gimmies.

-Make a few more 3s.

Pretty much I feel the Spurs haven't played as poorly as they score (and the meltdown in here) indicate. First Nash goes off for 17 points in a quarter and then you have a lot of inside misses that will normally go down for Manu and Tim.

They only lost the 2nd quarter by 1 point so pretty much the difference in the game at the moment is Nash's amazing first quarter.

Play blair that's the problem

Also, the Spurs are doing an excellent job of getting to the line.

I really think they'll be OK in this game with a few adjustments.

get jefferson to penetrate and keep the suns out of the paint and we will be fine

Rebound and attack the rim more. Duncan has to get going for the Spurs to have a chance.

Part of my meltdown is how I think Hill cannot guard any Suns player effectively, and the other part is how Duncan is very slow and also playing like shit.

I can't stand watching one of my favorite players look like a mental pussy and miss all these free throws. This drop off of FT% for him this season is very very bad.

We may not have this game but I still feel good about the series. However, if Duncan's play today is indicative of injury or fatigue, we're screwed. Hopefully he just needs a kick in the ass or something.

Hill will be fine. He's a young player and this isn't the first time he's made mental errors. I don't know if he'll recover much in this game on the defensive end but I promise you they will find the things he did wrong in the first film session after this game and he'll correct them.

Hill hasn't been good on defense but a lot of Nash's buckets have been the result of poor help defense... It's been a team clusterfuck on defense tonight, it's just Hill's man that is causing a lot of the damage.

-start playing defense

-start quarters (and future games for that matter) with high percentage shots by attacking the rim early to establish leads and have better control of the pace

-stop biting on every single pump fake. this happened in Mavs series too. The Spurs <3 pump fakes and it drives me crazy...if you are standing 1 foot in front of the defender out on the perimeter, chances are he is not going to actually pull up (knowing neither Kobe or Lebron are playing against the spurs)

We'll see how he responds in the 2nd half. I am somewhat concerned with his lack of mobility but we'll see how he responds in the 2nd half.

He's just a couple of free throws and a couple of baskets away from having a good first half. His first half wasn't good, but it wasn't terrible either.

He let Nash go the wrong way on several possesions early. Not that forcing Nash is all that easy to do to begin with, but I definitely saw some mental errors early.

We'll see if Pop can light a fire under their asses at the half.

make a fucking basket or two and move the fucking ball around some.

do both of those and this game is a two possession game within 3 minutes.

The Spurs will adjust their defense. They were standing around almost clearing the way for Nash. No way Nash has a second half like his first. He's going to peter out. A little run by the Spurs and they got this.

It was pretty terrible, he made dumb passes causing turnovers, should have been whistled for traveling, continued the trend of taking the most retarded shots that have no chance of going in, and still can't make a fucking free throw.

Start Tony for Hill or Manu and tell Duncan to wake the fuck up.

ALVAREZ6

Spurs just need to keep ATTACKING THE RIM. Manu and Tony need to fuck off with their retarded jumpers lately, and instead do what they do best. High percentage shots over and over again and decreasing suns lead will eventually help the Spurs have better control of the pace. When they settle for terrible looking jumpers, Suns get out and run and eat us alive.

He had all of one turnover (considering the ball has been goign through him on half the possesions thats not bad), didn't travel on that play (and even if he had traveled then he can't throw the turnover so its a wash) and he's 2-6 (one easy miss from shooting 50% for the half).

7 points and 4 boards in the half isn't great but its not terrible.

You guys need to just relax and actually pay attention to whats happening.

They did attack the rim - hence the 22 free throws.

What game are you watching?

I said "KEEP attacking the rim"

because both players started their games by taking stupid jumpers, and lately Manu can't make shit from the perimeter.

Tim needs to realize he isn't playing the Mavs' frontline anymore -- he's making a quick and strong initial move but when he gets to scoring position, he's rushing the finish as if he's got to worry about the shot-block.

There's a part of me that says, "Well, we're only down 10 when it should be much worse. ... Make a couple of adjustments and the Spurs are right back in this thing," but I had a similar feeling for Game 5 of the Mavs series . . .

He looks like he can barely move out there. In the series against the Mavs He showed that he still has it, he needs to fight through the fatigue or whatever he has.

Using Duncan more on the pick and roll and less on isolation might help get him going. He had a couple of good looks off it in the first half he just missed them. They could try facing him up on the elbow more too. That way he can either take the bank shot or drive into the defense to draw contact.

I agree. The Tim Duncan isolation honestly makes me cringe lately, I cannot stand it.

of course he can't, he's being crowded not only by the defense but also by the cutter going baseline.
