For you guys, a small translation of TP interview on his website:

"We had the possibility to win this game. Everytime we were back on score just behind them but we kind lack of something to be ahead.. Phoenix winning shots reach more than 50%. We cannot win a game in these conditions.
If we do not play harder, we will have some problems in the future. We were doing the yo-yo all the game long. Mentally, there were absences, when we return to a point in the fourth quarter, we have no right to let Stoudemire made a layup. This is not normal.
It is true that our roles have not been really efficient in attack. Jefferson, McDyess and even George Hill should be more efficient. But I trust them, I know that they will release a better game on Wednesday."

He seems really not happy :bang

I'd be worried if he wasn't mad. That was a golden opportunity that the Spurs just gave away.

Tu as réalisé un match propre.

For me TP and Jefferson are the keys of this serie.

- TP should be back at the starting line up

- Jefferson really need to show up now.. or this is over for us!!

« Regrets »

Tony Parker regrets the lack of consistency of San Antonio in its first game vs Phoenix (111-102).

Tony, you can have regrets after this first game against Phoenix 111-102…
Yes we have regrets, a lot. We could have won this game. Everytime we were coming back, a little something was missing to take the lead. Phoenix scored more than 50% shots. You cannot win with such stats. We have to be more aggressive in Defense or we’ll soon be in trouble.

What did you lack to change the game ? Consistency ?
Totally. We had some lack of concentration at some times. We played yoyo the whole game. Mentally, there were some moments we weren’t there. When we came back to 1 point in the 4th quarter, we cannot let Stoudemire lay-up. It is not acceptable.

The Big Three also needed help in offense. You will not make it without Richard Jefferson and George Hill’s offense.
Yes, our role players were not very important in offense. Jefferson, McDyess and even George Hill must be more effective. But I trust them, I know they’ll play better on Wednesday.

Jason Richardson had a great performance (27 points), just like he did in Portland in the 1st round. Even though it is a tough task to stop Steve Nash and Amare Stoudemire, you’ll have to find a way to stop Richardson…
Absolutely. It is always the same story against Phoenix. When you play them, you know that Nash and Stoudemire will score. So you have to stop the rest of the team in offense. And we didn’t do it with Richardson. You can’t let him shoot 10/16. It is impossible. His 3-point shot at 1’30 from the end hurt us real bad. We’ll have to work on this for next game.

As usual, Phoenix is your lucky team (26 points). Your game was good.
I tried to be a trigger for the team. With Manu and Tim, we tried to lift our teammates up. It wasn’t enough but I am still confident for the rest of the series. We showed we could win. Now it’s up to us to do what’s necessary to leave Phoenix on Wednesday with a victory.
