Do you mean the worst player to start for your team? This isn't a sport like Baseball or basketball where you can really say one particular player, since every position is so different. I'd go Russell or Kwame Harris, though.

Yeah David Carr fucking sucks. Anyone who isn't productive behind an offensive line that can't protect for more than 2 seconds is garbage.

Weird that Domanick Davis ran for :

1,031 yards, 8 TD's in 2003
1188 yards and 13 TD's in 2004

So, the line had to protect for a running game to develop, Carr ALWAYS held the ball too long

Run blocking is completely different than pass protection. Carr blows, but he also had no time. I think the Texans ran a zone blocking scheme, but I'm not sure. Either way run blocking does not equate to pass protection.

True, however, when Andre Johnson, who never complains about anything, said a while back that Carr was the last one to practice, and the first one out, has something to do with it.

Carter actually took us to the playoffs.

You do remember that we have Bobby "18th pick overall but sucks ass but it doesn't matter because he's a 'Parcells guy' Carpenter," don't you?

I don't have an NFL team until we get one back to the City of Angels, so I'll go with the closest NFL team and that would have to be the Chargers...Ryan Leaf...nuff said.

If we're talking high expectations, definitely a tossup between Ryan Lead and Pacman Jones. Honorable mentions include Roy Williams and A. Bryant.

Kyle Boller and Travis Taylor

And to think we traded a few picks away with NE for a chance to draft that bum Boller. Travis Taylor is the only receiver I have ever seen in the history of the NFL who could catch the most difficult passes only to drop the ones right between the numbers just about everytime. He made Braylon Edwards look like Jerry Rice.

Reggie Langhorne and Alvin Harper both did that too.

For the Cardinals, it's gotta be Wendell Bryant. 12th overall, 2002. Was out of football within three seasons, despite playing DT, a position where there's a great need for depth. He was as lazy as he was unproductive.

Cardinals: They have had a ton of bad teams, but no one really stuck out to me as the worst player ever to start for them. The last one I remember who just pissed me off beyond belief was Josh McCown. On top of the fact he really sucked, he had a look on his face like he was always staring into the sun that made it seem like he had down syndrome, but it just made you wanna punch him.

Patriots: This is tough, but I can't think of anyone in recent memory who hurt the team on a game by game basis as much as Jonathan Wilhite. I was pissed when McCourty was taken over Kindle, but then Mono reminded me that Jonathan Wilhite was one of their top 3 corners last year and then the pick made tons of sense.

He was a 3rd-rounder, though. Hard to be too critical of a 3rd-rounder. Wendell Bryant is in the top-20 of all-time draft busts. He's gotta be it. Either way, they were both from the 2002 draft, which is among the handful mentioned as the worst drafts for any team ever. Cardinals didn't draft a single impact player, and within five years, six of the eight players were out of the League.

Actually, the only reason I didn't mention him is because I couldn't remember his name and was too lazy to look it up. Good call. :toast

I agree. Even if he did at one time or another start, he was a third rounder. Those guys are normally hit or miss more often than first round guys. Since Thunderdan isn't here I will throw Brady Quinn's name into the mix of first round bust. I am so glad the Browns picked before us that year because we sure as hell were set to pick him. Its probably a good thing I am not a GM because I probably would had traded up to get that bum. Lol

Cecil the Deisel Collins (on and off the field) and Ray Lucas can also be added.

But I would put Sammy Smith and Ted Gin above them because they were drafted so high.
