What a sad collection of misfits. We've taken them out of the playoffs four times in a row, so the odds were eventually going to catch up with us. Don't expect any fan of the Suns to show any class once this series is over. They have been waiting for this moment for a long, long time....

If you want us to act real classless, we can. I haven't made a single thread to rub it in but I'm more than capable of doing so.

Yeah, we Spurs fans were a classy bunch after dismissing the Lakers in '03 . . .
GTFO with that. The Suns are a better, more complete team and their fans have every right to enjoy this. I'm not going to hate. It is what it is and getting into some 'class' warfare isn't going to make any of us feel better.
Tip the cap and move on; the Spurs in reality went as far as they really should've gone. There's no shame in this ill-fitted team being the first 7-seed to knock out a 2-seed (and it being the hated rival was a nice piece of icing) and bowing out in the conference semifinals.
In the end, we Spurs fans still have one thing to fall back on . . .

The Spurs took their foot off the pedal and allowed Phoenix to get one uncontested 3 after another. Once again SA did a lousy job defending. Piss poor defense has been the common thread here.
The Sun's collection of shooters shot well and that was that.
BTW, Barbosa is still a loser. One or two good games does not make up for his years of choking.

I really miss the days when Amare Stoudemire and Shawn Marion used to close out games for Phoenix.

Props to the Suns. I don't think their fans are doing anything obnoxious at all. Its easy to cheer for guys like Nash or Hill who are excellent sportsmen. Hell, I even think Amare has matured a shit ton since his push up moment.

The Suns fans that post here, other than 1 or 2 of the new guys that just showed up, are good posters..I can't say the same for Suns fans from other forums, but the guys that post here are solid..

Well, the series is not over with yet, but I want to say that even though we are close to victory, it does not feel the same as it would have in '05, '07 & '08, because this is a different Spurst team. What I'm saying is that I actually respect and do not despise this Spurs team (I was actually rooting for you guys against the Mavs, but honestly part of it was for a re-match :toast). But it's been seriously hard not to like and respect this Spurs team that is without Bowen and Horry, especially Duncan who is a class-act.

I guess I've been on the ESPN message board too much - the Suns' fans on there are terrible. I know there are always a few good apples, even if most of the bunch is bad. It has been my experience that the majority of fans of the Phoenix Suns are pure scum...

Like I said the other day, I've never rooted for another team after the Spurs were eliminated. It took all I had to stomach watching the playoffs because I knew the Spurs weren't in 'em. But I did because I love the game and I figured it's at least afford another opportunity to scout for next year. :lol
But, that's going to change this year. I will be rooting for the Suns in the event my Spurs don't pull off the impossible. Gentry's made me a fan, Kerr will always have a place in my Spur fan heart and they've gone about building their team the right way -- they've got good people, who play for each other and, other than their owner and some of their fans (which every team has), they're a pretty likable group.
Plus, I'd definitely much rather see the Suns get a title than any of these other teams; seeing the Lakers win again would just be piling on . . .

Oh and F the Suns. I never understood why so many Spurs fans are in love with Steve Nash.

+1 x 10
It's ridiculous to for someone with sub-20 total posts to be critical of the handful of Suns fans who've tallied thousands of posts on a rival board, doing so respectably and in a fashion that garners them mention by name for their fandom's accomplishments. That's incredible, right there, that in the troughs of despair and Xylus, DoK and myself have been mentioned by name only minutes after such a defeat. Clearly "we" fans aren't the fans of which the OP speaks.

Nash has never been someone I root for. Frankly, he annoys me (on and off the court -- though some of his bits are pretty humorous). But I really think it's been Kerr and Gentry that've allowed me to not have any animosity towards them and Dudley won me over during the Draft with all of his lobbying to be a Spur (and, yes, I have a shallow Spur fan heart).
It's strange. Come to think of it, other than Dudley ... there really isn't another player I really like or root for. J Rich is all right -- if for no other reason than what he did in '07 -- and it's hard to dislike Hill, but I can't say I'm a fan of anybody else; I respect Nash's game and Amar'e's talent (even if he doesn't utilize it the best) but I just don't really like 'em.
So I guess I'm rooting for a coach, a GM and a role-player . . .
This is what an early exit from the Spurs has left me to. :depressed

Up 16....how many missed FT's??....I'm sure all of this greatly negates Dragic's heroics being the reason for tonight's blowout....Manu can't win by himself....hope he's happy with the money because he's seemingly on his own in give a damn.

It falls somewhere into the water is wet category.:lol
And, to be honest, I'd be disappointed and almost insulted if they didn't. In a roundabout way, it's a confirmation of your team's success, and even a sign of respect -- the fact that Suns fans derive some great pleasure from beating this collection of Spurs (a team most would've been thrilled to see get out of the first round a couple of months ago) and that it's somewhat of a crowning moment in their history ... it's actually kinda flattering. -- this is a 3-seed up 3-0 on a 7-seed, yet, you'd think the Suns were on the verge of dethroning the champs.
That says something to me: We Spurs fans have had it pretty good. :toast

the only consolation for me if the Spurs lose this match-up is Suns fans will stop now to blame the Spurs they have not won a title.
If the Lakers beat them they'll have a new enemy.

I doubt it. The Suns were good enough to win it all if they could just get past the Spurs in 05 and 07. This team is good enough to get to round 3 if they can just get past the Spurs. It will take more than one fairly unimportant playoff series for Suns fans to stop blaming the Spurs for keeping us title free. Oh, and the Lakers have always been our enemy.
