His elbow injury turned the game around. We were up 16 and he missed 4 FT in a row. Spurs weren't the same since his fall.

Why was he holding his ear? Did Dragic jizz in it...lolYou certainly like talking about other men's semen.

No reason to play him or any of the big 3 now. Might as well get looks at Mahimni, Blair and Hairston at this point...

That fall was absolutely the turning point in the game. His inability to produce afterwards had to be related to that injury and I hope he's ok.

Spurs have been hurt by hard playoff fouls for 2 straight series, and we haven't retaliated.
You have to balance things out, that's the way the game is played.

This is what I've been saying all along - this series is lacking the bad fouls of all. I thought after hill fell like he did the game was going to get a little choppy. that could have worked to the spurs advantage, not because of the hard fouls but because they are better suited to keep composure than other teams.
this to me was one of the keys to the series.

Parker, Hill and Manu have been on the receiving end of good playoff fouls, while the Spurs are watching Dragic, Nash, Barbosa run layup drills on them.

The Spurs absolutely needed to send a message to Nash by knocking him on his ass. Of course, that's kinda hard because when he drives to the cup for a layup, there's usually not a Spur within 8 feet of him.
The hard fouls against us were definitely by design, the result of good scouting. Go ahead, knock the Spurs star players to the floor, injure them - they're too soft to respond.

Huh? Parker responded by attacking the rim hard again on the next possession, earning another trip to the line immediately after that foul.

I saw the same, even you could see when he was benched a little bit later after the failed layup I believe he was shaking his head and didn't look right, like something was amiss

As I said earlier in another thread, it looks to me like Tony suffered a seperated shoulder (at best a sprained AC joint) on that fall. What Amare did was a lot worse than what Horry did to Nash a few years ago. He bumped and undercut Parker just enough to turn him over on his shoulder. That was the move of a coward.
I hope Dujuan Blair sharpens up his elbows and is able to "Compromise" the integrity of the Suns roster in a couple days.
Bottom line is our key guys got old and/or beaten up.

Huh? WTF? A response as in delivering a hard foul to one of their players somewhere down the line. Any other remaining PO team would have done this, that's how the game is played.
Anything less is just softness.

No. You need to look at Sasha and Morrison to locate the biggest Ps in the league.
Parker has taken a beating the last two series and has been hurt in some form or fashion all year long. Parker is a tough player who is injured right now.

Stoudamire intentially undercut Parker and got him hurt. It was a stupid thing to do, but Amare has never been a rocket scientist. He was also hitting Ginobili in the lower back when Manu was boxing him out on a couple of plays.
Of course Frye's cheap shot on Hill approached the level of a Flagrant 2.
If Parker is unable to play on Sunday and actually suffered a seperated shoulder, SA simply cannot allow Phoenix to leave with 12 healthy players. There was intent to hurt our players IMO.
SA is not going to win this series, but a message must be sent to the Suns. Of course Popovich will never have his players retaliate. Still someone has to make a stand when the opponent spits in your face on your home floor.
translation from french sportsite, lequipe.fr:
"Parker injured"
TP: "Just after (the fall), i missed my FTs. I couldn't raise my arm like i wanted, my shots were always short. I was happy to get back to the starting five but i very soon had to deal with this pain at the shoulder. It's infuriating and frustrating. But it's part of the game. I've got to deal with it and not make excuse."

This season was a nightmare for Tony. He had all kind of injuries. And it's a shame because last season he was a top 3 PG in the league and this season a lot of Spurs fans, including myself thought he'd be the one carrying the team.
I hope TP doesn't play for France this summer get a lot of rest and comeback like the 2008-2009 Tony Parker

He never again attacked on the break, though. That was where the Spurs came within a whisker of a blowout. They were up 18, and it could easily have been 28.

Sucks that Tony got hurt
The problem with Tony is if you watch him he never tries to land right. Not sure if it's to sell the foul more but I worry everytime he does it. It's just to much risk on the body and I wish he would not flail so much when he gets fouled and concentrate more on protecting his fall.

How he landed reminded me a lot of how Derek Anderson landed.

I'm afraid the same result occurred to the shoulder. I hope Blair can undercut Stoudamire on Sunday and let him know what that feels like.

Amare didn't do anything wrong. Tony jumped on top of him because he was trying to draw a foul.

As much as I hate Amare, he didn't do anything. He literally stood there while Parker attempted to draw a foul.
But...I would like to see Blair lift Amare in the air and bodyslam him. That would be awesome.

Actually, Amare was still sliding a bit, and got under him. I'd be willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, if he hadn't done the exact same thing to Bogut recently.

TP interview after game 3
Tony, the 3rd Game last evening turned into a nightmare…
We did a very good start and we even led by 18 points in the 2nd quarter and suddenly, nothing. We were stuck. No more scoring. On top of this, I fell on my shoulder and got injured. Right after that I missed free-throws, I couldn’t lift my arm anymore, my shots were too short. The 2nd half was a disaster. .As for Phoenix, Dragic was on fire and scored 23 points in the 3rd quarter. Basketball is a weird sport. Sometimes, there’s no logic. But that’s the beauty of this sport too.
It is even more disappointing that Stoudemire wasn’t successful offensively…
That’s why I don’t understand what happened and why I say basketball is very weird!!We were controlling rebounds, Nash, and Stoudemire and we turned a lot of balls over. Eventually, their bench killed us. Of course, our deception is huge.
Gregg Popovich decided to put you in the starting five. Even if he was right to do so in the 1st half, the second was not what he was hoping for.
I was happy to be in the starting five but I had to deal with my sore shoulder very quick. It makes me angry and it’s very frustrating. But that’s sports. I deal with it and I’m not hiding behind anything.
Do we have to be worried pour for Sunday ?
I had X rays for my back and my shoulder after the game. I should have an MRI today to know more. We’ll do our best to soothe the pain.
Now, only a miracle could make you go on.
It is going to be very difficult. The NBA history shows it is almost impossible to win a series when you’re led 3-0. That’s not a reason to give up. It is still positive and now we’re looking towards next game (Sunday. We don’t want to let Phonenix win this way. but tonight they killed us
