a trade with hedo and RJ? Raptors may be looking to unload Hedo this offseason and RJ has an expiring contract. :toast

Raptors would be all over this, the question is: would the Spurs?

Bargnani and Hedo for RJ. If Holt doesn't mind taking those awful contracts.

Spurs need that guy who can hit the 3 and mid. Duncan could do the pick n roll with hedo like hedo used to do in ORL.

The entire city of Toronto would be dancing in the streets if any GM is stupid enough to take Turkoglu's contract off their books..

Turkoglu needs the ball in his hands to be effective. Orlando understood that. Toronto didn't, and I don't think Pop does. He's not a good spot up shooter, which is how Pop tried to use him. He's better walking into a 3 pointer, or shooting on the move.

OTOH, TOR is rumored to be wiling to do a deal with Bosh for anyone who will take Hedo's contract. RJ/TP for Hedo/Bosh, and you put the ball in Hedo's hands and let him run your offense.

Then, we can trade Antonio for a back up point guard (if Splitter shows.)

Hedo's contract is the only thing worse than Hedo the player.

bosh and hedo are not bad....pop will get his big man who can shoot 3's, post up or jump shoot in bosh.....and hedo can come off the bench but am concerned if hill can take the reins from TP and provide the instant offense which TP provided all these years....hedo can be traded at deadline....and bosh, blair and hill could be the next big 3 for spurs in future...

Hedo may currently suck in Toronto, but he absolutely flourished in Orlando. He was a dual threat as both a scorer and playmaker - skills the Spurs currently have very little of. Besides that, he was responsible for a few game-winning shots also during his Orlando tenure - which means he's got a "Manu-like" clutch mentality. Besides, Manu, how many players do the Spurs have that have a clutch-gene or ones that can actually nail free throws during the course of the game - much less during crunch time?

For those who are trashing Hedo, he's not the same passive player he was back in '04, when Pop tried to turn him into the Serbian-version of Matt Bonner.

That said, the idea of Hedo returning is intriguing. Of course, his killer contract would make me think twice. I certainly wouldn't deadlock the franchise with Bosh and his expected max contract. However, if the Raps want to offer Hedo straight up for RJ, I would certainly consider it.

Why would you consider that though?..

RJ's contract will be off the books, while Turkoglu has arguably the worst contract in the NBA outside of Elton Brand..

Turkoglu really wasn't that good in Orlando TBH..I know a lot of people think he was, the media included, but he really wasn't..his PER was under the league average, his efficiency was very inconsistent, his defense was average at best..he really benefited from Orlando's free-flowing system with shooters all around him, and most importantly, Dwight Howard in the middle..

George is the Spurs most valuable trading chip. He is a really good player making the minimum next season. But I think a TP/RJ for Hedo/Bosh and first round swaps would be fine.

I am sure you would
but tp is the better point guard heck manu was running the point more then hill when tp was hurt anyhow:lmao:lmao:lmao:lmao

if I am spurs I offer hill first
tp >hill

and spurs do not have anyone in the middle?

hedo atleast rebounded well here
he sucked at shooting though

+1

all we need is a scorer in bosh and a +5 or +6 rebound guy in hedo.....
