We didn't lose this series because the talent of our top 5 was subpar, we lost because we had a 7 man rotation.

WE melted in the 4th quarter because duncan logged in 40 minutes. You put Duncan in a position to fail, he will. He can't be our foundation at his age for over 33 minutes.

Another thing, Ginobilli can only last for like 25 minutes. Roger Mason sucks balls, aswell as bogans, but bogans can be used if we had pure shooters.

If we retool around Manu, Duncan, Hill or Parker, we still have one of the most talented starting 5.

Shit, we don't need jefferson, we need a Derrick Mckey type, or Sjax. For the price of Jefferson, we could get 2 decently athletic swingman who have decent man to man d, who can shoot and play within the system. We don't need them to create.

Next year we will have more production with Splitter and Blair, Duncan wont have to take the whole load of D work, and we will have our starters fresh for the 4th.

I guess my point is that this team is not finished. We just need to have a solid 9 player rotation and better improved d next year. Those things aren't unattainable.

this offseason we should have a front court of Dunc, Dice, Blair, Splitter, Bonner. That extra post player will be the difference in Duncan logging over 40 compared to low 30 min per game.

Same thing for the backcourt. We just need to get jefferson out of here and replace him with 2 willing and capable pure shooters. We could have better options of having Manu on the second team and our bench would kick ass. Parker wont have to be a disher and we just play our game.

Nash seems to be doing all right @ 35 minutes a night, and he's 36, and a guard

there will be no title won by merely "retooling around the big 3"

the sooner all you tools realize that, the better, for your own sake

so your whole point is hanging on the "defensive anchor" argument? :lol:lol

show me where TD "anchored" the D even in the first 20 or so minutes when he was still fresh.

TD isn't a Defensive presence anymore, whether he plays 30 minutes or 40 minutes makes no difference

Sorry vander, but you're dead wrong. Tim, even with his diminished D skills is still our D anchor. Unless you're saying our D anchor is Dice, then he's playing like less than 22 min per game.

Yeah, 'cause in the first quarter Tim didn't help in limiting them to 21 points and sub-40% from the floor...

:rollin:rollin:rollin

People just keep topping themselves with stupid comment after stupid comment.

Nash only has responsibilities on offense, while they attempt to "hide" him on defense. Plus, he only plays 30-35 minutes per game. So, it's reasonable to compare him to Duncan who holds large responsibilities on both sides of the court and logs 38-40 minutes each night.
