This site is huge, it probably takes a lot running it.

Not to be nosy or anything b.c it probably isn't my business or anything but if someone wanted to buy this site for like 20K would you do it? :wow:greedy

timvp is actually Peter Holt but is not using his real name for obvious reasons.

I actually do believe there are some notable analysts/insiders/etc. on this board who are obviously going by different user names, but I'd never be able to prove it. There are a few who I'm quite sure visit Spurstalk frequently.

Too bad timvp spends all of his time here trolling under different usernames.

pretty sure i heard they are lawyers and yeah they are probably pretty loaded

theyre also pretty cool to host the site without ads and not sell it

these forums are really a lot better than almost any other NBA team's forums, and that's why so many trolls from other teams stick around here. their own team's forums suck / have ads plastered all over them / etc but almost all of them have much less traffic than spurstalk.

20K is a hardcore lowball offer. ST is probably worth $1 per post made here. Anyone with the right market sense knows that.

I have to log on and interject. As a web finance accounts manager, I have to tell you that forums such as this one are very come and go. Traffic and fiscal value can correlate directly from wins/losses. Therefor, losing consequently diminishes this sites value in the long run. I understand an emotional commitment to a project that is yours. However, logically you might see it as the stock market and try to sell high. This Spurs team is on the way down and could remain down like many other small markets in the NBA.

That all might be true. However, unless someone was offering significantly more than that. It's not worth selling to us.

Now this website isnt the end all of website value nor does it take into account every single factor. But it gives a baseline value range. Values it close to 50k. Making 6 figures generous.

I understand that. If you can afford not to get maximum value out of something you care about. Then don't. It may hold more value to you in keeping it than it does in cold hard currency.

It's probably not the only reason, but many ads providers also demands certain things, like most notably for ST a stronger moderation of swearing and similar.

Interesting
ST got really big traffic and being liberal makes this traffic. If they want to take it from ST than it's might not be worthy for both sides. But dang all in all traffic is traffic. Why not just take it as it is?

Umm such liberal site and I got almost banned by Kori and some of my posts were delated ... :depressed

That's what makes no sense with advertisers. Wouldn't they wanna advertise on a site with more people visiting? The sites with Nazi regulations don't have anywhere near as many people as this one.
