The Spurs were just swept by the Suns, a team most analysts said before the series that we would beat - and a team many analysts referred to as "soft," "suspect," and "not to be respected."

We have also heard for years that some players fit into "the Spurs system" and others don't. Also, we've heard for years, and seen in particular this year, that it takes some players a full year to adjust to "the System."

The question is, do the Spurs even have a system anymore, or is it simply a figment of Popovich's imagination?

All the system ever was designed to do (on defense) was funnel players baseline to avoid attacking David and Tim at the rim. Since 2003, the system has simply been an attempt to modify that system in order to fit personnel. I think you could make the argument that the Spurs ran a hybrid system in 2005 (that was the best coached spurs team in my recollection--the 2007 team comes in at a close second however).

On offense the spurs def. have a system.
