I don't know if I believe it. I would still think they'd try to get him ready during the next few hours before gametime.

As far as I know it is just a rumour. Saw it in a sonics forum.

I still have to believe he's playing. If I were the Spurs, I'd prepare like he's playing.

I struggle to understand. I don't think in my watching twenty years of NBA basketball I've ever seen a talented player as gutless as Ray Allen, to bail on his team like this with a minor injury in the middle of a playoff series. Nobody could be so cowardly, could they?

Common sense dictates such a cowardly act would lower his free agent value far more than playing poorly against Bruce Bowen would. Who would want to throw MAX money at a quitter?

I'll see if I can find out what was said at Sonics shootaround this morning.

According to Seattle sports radio Bruce ruptured Ray's hymen and he hasn't recovered yet.

Bruce Bowen was so far into Ray Ray's head that it exploded.

I heard RAY ALLEN being interviewed somewhere. He said something like, "I think my team will do fine without me, what we need is to win our games at home."

I knew right then he prolly wouldn't play. Cuz he really is a pussy. He really didn't mention his injury, just that they didn't need these 2 games, and he wanted to play in Seattle.

I give it 50-50 he even shows up to the game tonight. His tender ears might not be able to handle what the fans have to say to him.

Uh, I'm not a math major, but I'm pretty sure you have to win some games in SA as well, Ray!

Can someone photoshop a "Everybody Hates Raymond" poster? :lmao

If so he will be the only one in the arena wearing a Ray Allen jersey.

TNT Comentators

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What a bunch of losers, these guys do not know how to call a game especially If the Spurs are playing. I am tired of hearing their lip just to make ratings off our team that everybody hates. We never get any air time when it comes to the team itself. The only time we get it is when other teams make spectacular pays against the spurs. Oh, they will show that in the highlights. That John Thompson the X coach of I guess Georgetown. I can't even understand a word he is saying very clumsy commentator and slow, No wonder your X players never won for you they could not understand your play calling. Then it reads "TNT Home of the Eastern Conference Playoffs" Hello, you are showing a Western Playoff game stupid. The only player of the West that gets air time is the BettleJuice, E.T. looking, long haired freak NASH!!!! Punks all will Bow down to the Spurs!!! When we take that Title Back to it's proper place in a city where hardwork, dedication, and teamwork still exists in the NBA SAN ANTONIO!!!!! GO SPURS GO!!!!!!! FINISH THEM.....

It may be some gamesmanship coming from the Sonics to try to take the Spurs out of their gameplan, but not knowing whether or not Gay is going to play wont effect the Spurs in the least bit.

I think Ray Allen plays, but he probably won't be 100%.

The Spurs better take care of business, because Lewis and even Daniels can go for 30.

Can't you just hear Thompson and Chapman already?
Thompson: Rex, I'd sure hate to be the Spurs facing a desperate Seattle team without Ray Allen. Pop has spent all this time preparing his defensive schemes around Allen.

Chapman: This throws everything out of balance. I think the Spurs are going to have to consider changing their lineup, possibly bringing Tim Duncan off the bench for the rest of the series.

The Spurs will take this series in 4 games. By the way Seattle played, and all their injuries, I don't see them winning a single game. That will be great if we can sweep them, because the winner of the Mavs-Suns series will probably take a couple more games, which means more resting time for the Spurs.

Horry For 3!

When he was talking to TNT it sounded like he didn't want to play. I think he is scared of Bowen.
