In that scenario a Sign & Trade with Lebron James would be a MUST. Anything less than that would be considered a "Gasol Trade 2.0!" Not good for Spurs fans IMHO.

:lmao

That's silly. Cleveland will need a top scorer next year. They wouldn't trade Jamison.

What's funny is that I was arguing with fans here for a while against Jamison..a lot of Spurs fans wanted him, it was sad..

In an all-in, win now scenario Jamison's age is of absolute no consequence. Saying he is one of the worst defenders in the NBA is nonsense and really deflates your credibility.
The Wizards are not a defensively oriented team, but even so, Jamison is not a bad defender. He plays with a lot of heart and hustle which is the foundation for an above average NBA defender. He could flourish as a defender in a different system.
More to the point, I never said I thought the Spurs should trade for him, I just prefer him over Butler.

LOL have you actually seen Jamison play defense?..he's beyond horrible..watch any game or go to any Wizards forum and ask Wizards fans about his defense..he's a huge liability and might be the worst defender on a team full of bad defenders..

His age also does matter, since it's taken away his lateral quickness and vertical ability on defense..he was always a bad defender, but his age has made him even worse..he's worse than Bonner defensively, and that's something we can't afford..

Just one of the gems, I won't name the poster, because that's disrespectful..he wasn't the only one, A LOT of guys here wanted Jamison for some reason..

so wtf would that accomplish? one bum for another. i would rather have RJ right now honestly... at least he knows the system now somewhat. Jamison is so overrated its ridiculous.

Won't have room for him when Lebron signs with the Spurs this summer.

jamison fitted pretty badly with cleveland. almost reminded me of jefferson on the spurs.

R.J. for Jamison and Anthony Parker could make more sense...RJ is a lot younger than both, Cleveland need younger bodyes to re build the team after the probable Le Bron departure, and AJ and AP look like a very good fit for our team...

In any case, I'll do evrything necessary for having Anthony pasrker on our team...still a good defender and very good spot shooter with just one more year left on his contact (jamison has two more years).

I'm not even sure the Spurs could get Jenna Jamison for RJ at this point.
