Would You Welcome Shaq To the Spurs??? I know he is Older and Not The same Dominant Shaq, But he still Plays well For 20 mins a game. He gives us That Big Body, and can still rebound, and play pretty solid D. I dont think the cavs Used him enough Against Boston. IMO

Not the kind of presence we need down low, but I'd take him for the minimum. Not happenin

He's fleecing any employer. He hasn't made any effort in years, except to spend what he earns and to flap his mouth.

im down. his defense is still good. mainly because he's so big but he still is a solid defender.

Fuck no. The guy's a shell of his former self (despite being twice his old size), yet still has the same insecurities he masks w/ that unbearable ego.

And the fact that we now have TWO threads on ST asking this question makes me fucking sick to my stomach.

One could reasonably expect the "If D-Rob was on fire, would you waste piss on him to put it out?" thread next...

Shaq's already made his intention to get one more ring than Timmy clear. His ego would never allow him to let history take him as Duncan's equal, so he'd probably say "hell noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo," too.

C'mon folks. It's a mystery to me why this guy's name keeps coming up. Since his hasty exit from L.A. and his rapid decline after leaving Miami, he's done nothing but leave a path of scorched earth everywhere he been. Look at the manner in which he's "brought the room down" in every stop he's been.

Have you guys NOT been paying attention to what's been going on in Cavsland? Shaq undermining the coach by bitching to the players that "I've got 4 rings. How many does Mike Brown have?"

All of this is old news. He constantly bitches about his shots, his touches, his rings, his money, his legacy. Face it folks. This guy is nothing but a selfish, self-centered, petty insecure, jack-ass, who is clearly hanging on for a check and in gross denial that the end is near. Let him take his carnival act somewhere else.

He probably still thinks he's worth "dominant big" money. His "presence" on the interior sure did get the Cavs over that hump.

Has anyone actually seen Shaq play defense since his decline? Bonner looks elite compared to Shaq on the PnR. If he isn't directly under the basket he doesn't even bother trying to secure a rebound. He is fat and slow. 44 year old Jason Kidd could blow past traffic cone Shaq.

Why don't we get Bill Russel instead, it would be 12 championship rings combined and he'd probably be better than Shaqa the Hutt.

Fuck that fat piece of shit. 2008 phoenix has best record in west, trade for shaq finish 6th and lose to Spurs in 1st round. 2010 cleveland has best record in east, shaq misses most of 2nd half, comes back throws everything off they lose in 6 to boston. Any real Spur fan would want nothing to do with this fat cocksucker. And D he has never played good D.

He'd be a pretty good pickup for the minimum, maybe the LLE. These days Shaq would only be effective in a few matchups and in limited minutes. He'd be picked apart if he were forced to defend the pick and roll, though. As a starting center... I'd have to pass, but as a (cheap) role player I'd take him.

My personal feelings aside (I really don't like Shaq), Father time and the changing nature of the league's big men have put Shaq out to pasture whether he wants to admit it or not. He's still a walking mismatch, but the wrong kind now.

If Shaq ever came back to San Antonio, he'd be pushing 400 in a month. I don't trust O'Neal in a city with a 24-hour Las Palapas.
