View Full Version : Would Tim Thomas be a good get?

The spurs always like to have a stretch 4 that can shoot the 3 and bonner sucks to much at everything else other than shooting 3's, so with this being said Tim Thomas would be the best option to replace Bonner. He's cheap, (played for vet. min. this season) and he's well adjusted inconsistent playing time, so that means he always ready to play or not play. and the thing I like way more about him than bonner is he's is way more athletic and plays better defense, plus he's willing to play for cheap. So would he be a good pick-up and upgrade over Bonner?

definitely an upgrade over bonner, but that doesn't mean anything. the spurs could get a scrub off any college team in the country and be better off than with bonner. .

He didnt play because his wife was seriously ill and the mavs allowed him to be away from the team and be with his family

Hell NO.

Huge waste of talent who only shows up once in a blue moon.

Among the great salary thieves in NBA history.

Career underachiever.

No thanks.

I hate when the Spurs get guys who I've wanted for many years. However, they almost always get them years down the line. Like I used to want B. Barry, M. Finley, McDyess etc when they were young but we always seem to land them like a year before they become old all of a sudden.

The guy's name is synonymous with intermittent effort. He'd probably end up buried at the end of the bench.

Oh, Gee!!

too old, need to get younger so we don't run out gas against teams like Phx

Exactly why he will stay in Dallas for another season, if he comes back. Word is he may not come back next season.

he's old but as long as he didn't get more than about 15 min. a game, i'm for it. i'm afraid pop will play him for 25+
