Well here's the criteria:

1. Made clutch plays? Check
2. Won multiple championships in LA? Check
3. Displayed questionable moral character? Check

If you've hit big shots, won those rings, and done some devious shit like use your daughter's cancer as an excuse to play for the P&G, it means you've hit the trifecta. Retire #2!
:lmao

Not even freakin' close.

He'll need to get in line behind Horry, Cooper, not to mention Shaq and Kobe...

No way he gets in. He'll always have something to do in LA, though. Cause 570, 710 or even FSN would love to have this guy in their cast. I doubt KCAL would go after him, since Jim Brown and Worthy have been doing it for a long time now.

That pukes won the Lakers more trophies than Kobe.

He will always be keen in the hearts of the Laker faithful, but I don't see his number hanging up in the side rafters of Staples. The next two will more than likely be Kobe and if Shaq and the management work things out--Shaq's number. A better question is: Will Pau Gasol, when it is all said and done, have his number retired in the hallowed P&G tradition?

Yes.

Next to Jerry West's 44

Yeah, using your daughter's cancer as an excuse to play in LA isn't quite vile enough. Not on par with rape or hookers or gay sex that gives you the HIV.

Fisher needs to really up the immoral ante and get busted for kiddie porn or something. then he'll be a true Lakers legend.

He is sure is slacking...Though, I don't know where you make the logical connection that gay sex=immoral. Had you said unprotected gay sex in the time of HIV/AIDS, then you might've had a point.

Absolutely not, but he's probably the 2nd most under-appreciated Laker in recent history, only next to Gasol..guys like picc always trash him, make threads about him, and Fisher responds by playing a big role in the playoffs so far, as usual..

They better get that #16 ready to go up if they win the title this year though..

if Fisher plays at the level he has been the last 2 series', picc better eat some crow.

He's destined for coaching... will be the new Brian Shaw while Shaw becomes the new Rambis somewhere.

Hopefully for Shaw his coaching isn't the abortion Rambis' coaching is.

You guys can retire his number in your arena if you want. Especially since he's hit more big shots than your own stars in those arenas.

No he hasn't.

You're a liar.

You have to be a hall of famer to get your number retired as a Laker dumb ass.

Yea, always thought that both aj and elliotts jerseys shouldn't of been retired. Robinson yes, definetly. And Duncan without a doubt. Not Horry, Bowen, even ginobili.

Definetly not, but by the way the San Antonio Spurs retire jerseys, Fisher should be up there.

The only Jerseys the Spurs should've retired are Gervin, Robinson, Duncan and Pop.

That's right the Spurs should only have 4 jerseys hanging up by 2015..

Gervin
Robinson
Duncan (2012)
Pop (2012)

I have also thought about this.

I think if we 3peat Gasol gets a SERIOUS look for his jersey going up...
