It looks to me like the MacGruber movie could be funny; I like the skit anyway. I looked for a list of all the movies inspired from SNL skits and found mostly "Top 5" or "Worst 5" type of lists. I agree with the top 3 from this Nerve list ( A Mighty Wind is one of my favorite movies), but I also think Stuart Saves His Family could move up a notch. I was surprised that Office Space didn't make the list, it was based on some animated shorts I believe, but they included Gilda Live. The It's Pat skit was funny, but I pretty much hated all the others on the list so I didn't see the movies. What other SNL movies are there?

A Mighty Wind? I wouldn't ever consider that an SNL movie. It's not at all. Office Space isn't either. Even though it aired on SNL in the 90's I think the humor is/was totally different from SNL.

I don't even think anyone in Office Space was ever on SNL. Maybe as a guest.

I cannot wait for MacGrubber, mainly because Jorma Taccone directed and Akiva Scheffer wrote it. They're amazing.

Ah, yea well I guess it is a pretty loose association :lol

From Wiki:

Office Space is based on the Milton cartoons created by Mike Judge as a series of animated shorts in 1991. They aired on Saturday Night Live in the mid 1990s. The 1999 film Office Space was loosely based upon the cartoons, and featured actor Stephen Root in the role of Milton Waddams. Although Milton was the title character from the SNL shorts, the role was a minor supporting character in the Office Space movie, as was the Milton shorts' other main character, Bill Lumbergh (played by actor Gary Cole in Office Space).

Night at the Roxbury #11? :rolleyes When most people think of SNL skit movies there are 3 that pop into most people's minds: Wayne's World, Coneheads, Night At the Roxbury. Why else would those 3 be on tv the most and by far
