I thought the Carter trade didn't include Manu...I would still take him over Jefferson.

The people I mentioned in the title wanted Manu traded for carter...

Does it really matter what you can do from NOV to APR? They're both playoff fails, but at least we're stuck with RJ's smaller contract for two less years.

Yeah hes such a huge creator come playoff time.

Again, I stand by my statement.

The only difference between Dick and Vince is Dick doesn't hide his tendencies while Vince is on the down low.

I didn't say anything about contracts, failures, anything like that. I simply said VC could create more. Do you disagree?

Game 1: 2nd leading scorer
Game 2: Tied for 2nd leading scorer

(Boston series)

You've lost your mind if you think RJ can create equal to that of VC.

i agreed with the premises of the thread, which is that Manu>Vince. it's true, yet it's also easy for anyone toot their horn now that Manu isn't injured...

but the RJ>VC talk, which i guess is the tangent this thread has taken, is just plain stupid. Carter's ability to hit the three at a significantly higher rate than RJ would already make him a better fit for this system. that not even counting the fact that he's a better driver to the basket.

and chances are he wouldn't have had the opportunity to blow ft's if he was playing with the Spurs because in end-game situations like that either Tony or Manu would have had their numbers called before him.

all he would have had to do on the Spurs is stretch the floor (which he can do better than RJ) and score every once and while off of drives to take the pressure of Manu and Tony, which he can do better than RJ as well.

RJ does not equal VC. not in any system, including this one. :lmao

My point is that having Carter instead of RJ wouldn't have made the Spurs any better. So I rather have RJ that is a expiring next season.

After Manu brought us back singlehandedly from a 10 pt deficit. No Manu in that game = we lose by 15; Manu in the game = we almost made NBA history.

Your memort, when it comes to Manu, is pretty selective.

That being said, that was one of the dumbest fouls I have ever seen.

Better is a very loose term. But yeah, I think VC would have given us a scoring threat at least. RJ didn't really do much at all.
