I'm 100% sure the Spurs don't get past the Mavs, again, with Finley getting minutes for the Spurs. Whether he is laughing or crying doesn't really matter, though.

Well it's not a ring collectable competition.I think there's nothing Finley worth laughing about Spurs or Mavs.In this time the only thing he care about is stay focus on his game.

I know he didn't go to Boston for the money. After all, I believe he's still living off the royalties from his hit song, "Caribbean Queen".

I am sure he is very happy with his situation thus far. But I ask this question in all seriousness...How many minutes does he get on the Celts?

Whats he played all of 5 minutes since the move.
If he gets a ring he will know it had nothing to do with his efforts.

If Boston advances and loses in the finals all Finley accomplished was working longer hours for the same pay.

Fin's been laughing at the Mavs for years. Especially that year he got a ring with the Spurs. Now he is pissed off cuz he is riding pine and doesn't like his team mates.

Wouldn't he be grateful to the Spurs for allowing him out of his contract so he could play meaningful minutes with another team?

At his age I'd say Finley needs to keep the laughter to a minimum lest he get too excited and wet his Depends.

If he laughinits at the Mavs for payin him 2 get a ring with the Spurs! He greatful 2 the Spurs cuz they gave him the chance 2 go elsewhere. A lot of teams would jus hold you under contract.

He's averaging 6.3 mpg in the playoffs. In competitive games he plays only as a situational backup: on offensive possessions at the end of quarters, when some guy is in foul trouble and little more. But when he signed with the Cs he knew that was going to be his role, the 4th wing in a 3 men wing rotation. He's shooting 46.3% from behind the 3pt line since he joined the Celtics, so the opponents must still respect his shot and stay at home with him - that's pretty useful for the Celtics considering Rondo+Tony Allen can't shoot from distance that well. Nice little acquisition.

Michael Finley; the only big name Mavs player of the past 15 years man enough to win a championship.

Finley is Finley. No D and only a spot up shooter. He wasn't going to get any minutes with the Spurs so he just took up a place on the bench. He was done here so I couldn't care less if he wins aonther ring with the Celtics. He really isn't a significant part of the team that actually might win it if he continues to play the type of minutes so far.

Agreed. He fills the role given to him. Plays the minutes his team needs him to play and contributes as best he can. Nothing great but every little thing he does right helps. All teams need this kind of guy. It's all good as far as he can see.

The only meaningful minutes he will see is to protect other players and shoot FT's late in quarters. Nothing more and he knows that.

Exactly. He is a bad matchup against the Mavs. So if he wins a ring with the Celtics then so be it. He wasn't going to cintribute for the Spurs like he did in the first two seasons with the Spurs.
