Because they're from an artist or gender that you usually don't enjoy.

Did you mean gender? Or genre? ;)

I like that Rob Thomas song too--it reminds me of the 2005 playoffs. Everyone I know hates it.

Not because of the Son of God aspect, but because it's a musical theater, rock opera.

Aquarius/Let The Sunshine In by The 5th Dimension...the beginning is pretty gay, but the second half of the song has some of the most amazing bass playing I've ever heard. It's solid but not too busy.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun by Cyndi Lauper...great pop song. The Killers do a good cover of it. But they've only ever done it live, wouldn't mind them doing a studio version.

Why would you feel guilty for liking something you like?

I certainly have a few albums that I consider guilty pleasures (in fact, seem to recall starting a thread a few years ago about just that), but I don't necessarily feel guilty about the fact that I own or like them.

I don't believe any of these are songs unless I see the embedded youtube

seriously some people post from smart phones and have shit disabled at work or on different computers. These lame YouTube threads are just - post your fave gray boxes topics

Just type the name of the song and artist! then we can read it and know.

Yes Mookie: My song is called "You Shouldn't Kiss Me Like This" by Toby Keith. It's a very sappy love song and the video is hokey, so you aren't missing anything.

Why would you feel guilty for liking something you like? Exactly. There are songs/groups I briefly regretted admitting liking b/c of the grief I got for it.

I have a dead end job, life that's going nowhere, spend most of the day feeling like shit (probably from hating my dead end life and dead end job), I'm in debt that I can't pay off because I wouldn't be able to eat and pay rent if I made more than the minimum payment, I am off drugs though at least that's the one bright part of my life right now... got a bad case of anhedonia and I'd pretty much rather just not be here at all than keep going like this.

it does have a nice smooth galloping baseline, especially good considering how old the song is. It was one of the first I learned to play, my mom made me learn it when I was 10.

Train's "Hey Soul Sister"

Let me explain. I hate everything the song stands for. The lyrics are double-facepalm terrible. The vocals are autotuned to the point where it sounds unnatural.

But god damned if it doesn't have a catchy melody. Instrumentally, it's simple but perfect. Good use of ukelele and I like how it adds layers throughout the song.

I wish it could be remade with better lyrics and production. It makes me angry every time I hear it but I don't change the station either. I'm mad just talking about it.

That's why I feel guilty for liking it.
