I really do hate it when they do shit like that too. The worst part is they COULD cut in during commercials, but they cut in during the show because cutting in during commercials would cost them money.

As for the tornado not being near her, I guess she doesn't realize that stations usually cover a fairly large area, so I'm pretty sure the tornado, while not in her specific area, was probably in the viewing area.

I do remember KSAT cutting in on a Sunday afternoon over and over during the NBA play-offs one year during a Spurs away game. Then, they decided to run a scroll across the top of the screen that blocked the basket on almost every shot.
