fanism aside, this has to be one of the worst playoffs in a while, last year we had the best first round series, 4 game 7's, more competitive play, This year blowout after blowout, tons of sweeps, weeks between games, i hope the finals make up for all the shitty play.

I want the Finals to go a full 7 games and for game 7 to be decided by a controversial call and the winning team shoots free throw for the game 7 win.

Any playoffs without the Mavs going deep and the great Mark Cuban are bad and barely watchable....if only Stern realized this and stopped trying to screw over the Mavs

this is all a result of the collusion that allowed Gasol to go the Lakers for a bag of dogshit, and Garnett to go to the Celtics for a bag of catshit.

Blowouts are usually more entertaining than competitive games.

The last time it was this bad I would recall '99 except the spurs won so I didn't care how competitive those playoffs were. I remember in '99 you had the spurs sweeping the lakers, blazers, and the knicks sweeping the hawks, while the blazers took out the Jazz in 5 games. The finals went by quickly in 5 games. '99 playoffs was a bit more entertaining then these but thats the last time it was the least competitive.

The 2005 Finals were a tough act to follow...now THAT was a series! Only other series in recent memory that compares was that awesome 1st round series between the Bulls and Celtics last year.

I blame Bird, Magic and Jordan. The NBA continues to try and repeat the success of the past, which only fools the hard core fan or those who think they have added to a ligitimate legacy. Otherwise, teams like the Timerwolves and Warriors would contend for a championship at some point of regularity.
