Hubie Brown made a comment during the timeout at the 1:00 mark that really emphasizes my opinion on what the Spurs are currently lacking.
1. Footspeed to close out on shooters and rotate quickly.
2. Shot blocking :deadhorse after the closeout forces players to drive the ball.
Do you all think this offseason will address these issues or compound them?
PS: Forgot how great of a series that Finals was. GO SPURS GO!

2005 was the last no-holds-barred kick-ass year. I think we dodged some bullets in attaining our '07 title, but in '05 we were a great squad, the best in the land.

If anyone wants to stroll down memory lane, here are the other parts that go with the one above.

Besides Sean's shot, my best Spurs memory is the time frame from Horry's improbable left hand dunk to him burying the last second 3.

Man I miss Bowen, Horry and Barry. Even Rasho and Nazr would have been clutch to have this year.
And to think Detroit made it back to a finals game 7 the year after they beat the Lakers (with 4 hall of famers) to win it all...that was a great team. HCA really proved to be the difference maker too.

I would have never thought I could agree with such a statement. I think the FO became too complacent in thinking they could always find a good compliment to TD. Especially an aging TD.

I was there, in the nose-bleeds. Last 5 minutes were so fucking loud! Good times.

That was the most nerve wracking game of my entire life.
I don't think I moved or said a word the entire 2nd half. (First and only time that's ever happened.)
The second half had to take at least 4 years off my life, being down 7 late in the third, crawling back and taking the lead and then sustaining it.

Bruce Freaking Bowen.
And I had almost forgotten what Manu looked like with the long hair.
