sons tonight live on ESPN2 at 6pmC the Mercury (1-1) goes into the new WNBA city of Tulsa (1-2) to take on the Shock. Should be a damn good match up with both teams a little slow starting the season.

For Phoenix, Taurasi has struggled with a hand injury during the first two games of the season. However anyone who knows DT knows that she will be back to her normal self any game now lighting up the competition.

For Tulsa, they have looked a bit lost from the get go. With the addition of former San Antonio Silver Stars 3pt threat Shanna Crossley they have high hopes of having a solid inaugural season in Tulsa.

son that's simply not true. there are many fans of the WNBA in here, but some are still in the closet though because of the bigotry of insecure white guys on this forum. God forbid we have a handful of WNBA threads in here every week that takes 10 seconds of the attention off of the 30 Lebron threads. The WNBA has every right to be included here. If you don't like it, don't click on it. Why hate?

sons it's your business if you wanna watch a bunch of 6 ft 5 dykes, just like kill bill likes to watch a bunch of little leaguers play in high school gyms, but why you gotta pollute this fine forum with this shit?

God bless sons.

son it really is pointless to argue with an ignorant bigot like yourself, but if you must know Shanna is married to a former Tennessee football player and all you have to do is read Diana's blog to be able to tell that she is 100% straight.

son does the WNBA have lesbians? of course they do, but to act as if every girl who plays sports is lesbian is ridiculous. The NBA is full of fun boys as well. I guarantee you that at least 40% of the NBA is either full blown gay or bi-sexual. A few NBA players that ping gay or at least bi for a fact are ...

Lebron James
Dwight Howard
Steve Nash
Dirk Nowitzki
Pau Gasol
Richard Jefferson
Jason Terry
Glenn Davis
James Posey
Marvin Williams
Sasha Vujacic
Tim Thomas
Andrei Kirilenko
Kyle Korver
Fabricio Oberto
Mike Dunleavy
Kwame Brown
Yi Jianlian

Taurasi scores 35 to lead Mercury past Shock

Posted May 25 2010 9:57PM

TULSA, Okla.(AP) Diana Taurasi scored 35 points and Penny Taylor added 29 to lead the defending champion Phoenix Mercury to a 110-96 victory over the Tulsa Shock on Tuesday night.

Candice DuPree had 14 points and 14 rebounds and DeWanna Bonner scored 10 points for Phoenix (2-1), which shot 45 percent from the field, including 16 for 36 on 3-pointers. Taurasi was 8 for 13 from beyond the arc and Taylor was 6 for 12.

Amber Holt scored 20 points and Shanna Crossley and Scholanda Robinson had 13 apiece for the Shock (1-3), who shot 47 percent but were just 4 for 16 on 3s.

Tulsa tied the score at 80-all on Natasha Lacy's basket with about 2 1/2 minutes left in the third. However, it was all Phoenix from there as the Mercury outscored the Shock 30-16 the rest of the way.
