No problem, I was kind of being a dick with my comment, sorry.:toast

No biggie, no offense taken.

Magic got spanked in game 3 and they have to keep up this level of play for a 3rd AND 4th straight game or risk questions being asked about why their effort came so late in the most important series for them in the playoffs imo.

I originally called the C's in 6... I'm obviously sticking with that prediction, these past two games not withstanding.

You sound like me...

Of course with the next game at home Lakers and Celts SHOULD win ...

JVG is funny he juust send pressure is = but now says he wonders how they will come out ...

IF pressure is = then they should come out the same ...no?

Oh my goodness. That guy Hayes has to have the worst free throw form in the history of the NBA. I wonder why coaches can't fix that discombobulated mess?

Gonig to be a big task for both road teams....especially given that the Suns haven't won in LA.

Each is playing like favorites at the moment though. Making for great playoffs.

Why foul?

Celts should risk no further injuries ...

Are concussions like that, a huge deal? This isn't like the NFL. I see Davis coming back.

I honestly am not sure. I'll be the first to admit I am extremely unfamiliar with concussions but I do know that if you have another one before you're fully healed the repercussions can be horrific. We'll see him back most likely, but just saying.

I'm not sure they can win another 2 and complete the backdoor sweep, but they've kicked it up these last 2 games. The effort has been tremendous.

If the Magic come all the way back and win the ECF, people will be throwing themselves off buildings in Boston, especially after the Bruins got backdoor swept after being up 3-0 just a couple of weeks ago.

In hockey I hear it is fairly common. But it has yet to happen in the NBA. So I agree with your Bostonian statement about them jumping off tall buildings. :lol

A riot would be inevitable. Still a ways to go, but things are getting very interesting......it's going to happen at some point in the league, will this be the year: stay tuned.

Celt fans ...is it too early to mention the curse of Rasheed Wallace?

Rasheed wears Philly Flyers hat (he is from Philly) to the pre-series press conference the day after the Bruins got backdoor swept.

Boston sports talk was pissed but whne they went up 3-0 it got quiet ...now?

I see it happening.....Celtics play has slowly declined and Lewis has finally woke up. If Carter gets his vagisil treatments, it will happen.

Well, other than the Flyers this year, the only other teams to win a series after trailing 0-3 were the 1942 Toronto Maple Leafs, who beat Detroit, and the 1975 New York Islanders, who beat Pittsburgh. The other 159 teams that won the first three games in a series all won them.

I kinda figured Boston would choke away a game or two. They always seem to do that for whatever reason in a series. I still expect them to win in 6. I am surprised LA is having problems with Phx though.

Scary thing for the Celtics (someone in this thread meantioned it earlier) if they do advance: they are getting beat up, REALLY bad. Physically, one has to wonder what kind of shape they'd be in going into the Finals.

I thought the Canadians were down 0-3 to the Caps this year? Or was it two?

They were down 3-1, not 3-0. The Caps are legendary for blowing 3-1 leads in the playoffs. :lol

I don't know if the scheduling is any different from years past, but it seems like this second season is being stretched out forever. When will the finals start, September?

As a Vince homer, I'm obviously discouraged by his play since game 1, but I can't really be that mad at him..usually the case with him is that he doesn't attack the basket and settles for stupid shots..he hasn't been taking stupid shots for the most part, he just can't make anything TBH..his shot disappeared, he's playing like January Vince..

Ehh the Finals start on June 3rd (next Thursday) so IF the Celtics can close this out on Friday they will have a good 5 days to rest..

Good point, just wondering how the nagging injuries that won't have a chance to really heal until the offseason and the recent concussions come in to play moving forward, especially if it miraculously goes 7.

Funniest and somewhat disturbing highlight of the night was when Big Baby got knocked down and out, asshole Doc Rivers starts gesticulating wildly for him to get up the court. And after watching his player clearly stumble and not look right, Doc just puts his hands on hips like the prick he is...

The difference with the Bruins is that we lost Krejci, while Flyers got back Simon Gagne. (I belive within the same game, but it might have been subsequent.)

That really swung the series. That and Leighton playing out of his mind.

I will say this he is beating his man but the problem TBH is the difference in style between him and Pierce ...

Pierce doesnt have anywhere near the athleticism VC has ...so when he attacks he throws himself in to the defender Kamikaze, herky-jerky style.

When VC goes in (there was an example in the first half) he makes a hanging beatutiful double clutch move that looks amazing ...but Pierce almost always get 2 FT's ...while Vince is making a high difficulty attempt ...

Vince is more gifted ... but Pierce is the smarter, more effective player ...and as VC loses more athleticism he would be wise to study Pierce ...

I agree, I hate when he takes fadeaways instead..although Pierce gets A LOT more calls than Vince TBH, maybe due to the reputation and style he's built up for years..

For example, when Carter went for that dunk and Perkins committed a huge foul with no call, Pierce got a ticky-tack call on the other end the following possession..

Pierce is great at that though, no doubt about it..he's in that tier with vets like Billups when it comes to drawing crafty fouls..

True, he has not been giving any 50-50 calls ...like Pierce but some of that is on Vince ...

And I STILL think he can have an impact on the series I doubt they can win Game 6 with 8 points from him.

IF he can step up these last 2 games he has the chance to erase all the nagatives coming his way ...

No need for hero plays ...let the game come to him, and when the opportunity presents itself go hard ...

A dunk over KG or Perk would go along way ...

Are you surprised Vince doesn't get calls? You know the officials don't like pussies and guys who can't take any kind of contact. I wouldn't be shocked if he went up for a dunk and a ref clotheslined him.
