Were he in this year's draft, where would De Colo likely be taken?

1st Round? or would he be considered 2nd round fodder again?

Just curious...

Mid 2nd round. His scoring and playmaking would bump him up a bit, but his lack of speed hurts him no matter what.

Didn't we already pick him in last year's draft in the second round? Maybe I'm confused...:dizzy

I believe the original poster is proposing a hypothetical - meaning if de Colo had not been drafted last year, has his play this past season affected where he may be chosen this year (in comparison to his actual draft position last year)?

maybe he would benefit a bit of an indirect beaubois effect but still 2nd round

I still think he would be a mid to late second rounder.

Within the first 58 picks would be my guess.

He is only going to be 23 this month and is said to have shown some real improvements this year, so (with the "Beaubois effect" as Brazil said) I could see him late first round!

There were a lot of guards in last year draft, not this year...

This guy is a fringe NBA player, has no real spot.......cant shoot, cant defend pgs.....He would likely be taken in the mid 40s this year.

Have you even seen him play ?

He obviously has not seen him play to describe his shooting as bad...I do not believe he will be an all-star, but his shooting and playmaking make him a legit NBA reserve at the 1 or 2. At 23 he still must work on his game, primarily his ball handling and passing to be able to handle running the pg spot. Obviously his defense needs work, but how many young players come into the NBA as defense as their weakness, alot...

We picked him because he was Tony Parker's friend and Pop said, "What the hell, most of these players never make it in the NBA anyway."

I'd be surprised if he ever donned a Spurs uniform.

Tony didn't even know De Colo before last summer...

And you must really know nothing about the spurs FO if you think that's the way they run things...
