The funny part of this claim is that if the shoes were reversed, the Spurs fans would fight to the death defending those titles. I would, though, make certain that if you're going to be a Laker fan--at least know the histroy of the Minneapolis Lakers (or some of it).

What's the point in arguing the validity? That's the one thing I don't really like to get involved with. I mean, no matter how much we try to discredit something (or credit) in the end, it'll either stand or not. I know for damn sure if the Lakers started their run in '99 I would venture there'd be someone who disclaimed it and of course, Laker fans would acknowledge it. I also believe the whole asterisk thing was a ploy by Phil Jackson to make sure people knew a new sheriff was in town and to help initiate the psyche of the Lakers from perennial playoff flameouts to champions.
