Rebounding is a very important fundamental of the game of basketball. It takes a good understanding of the fundamentals of rebounding and a lot of hard work to become a good rebounder. By developing this aspect of your game, you help your team increase possession and obtain more scoring opportunities. Rebounding begins with anticipating the movement of the ball and being in the right place at the right time. In the end, however, what really makes the difference is the mental component: you must desire the ball more than your opponent and work harder to get it!

Lakers know it... Boston?

There were quite a few long rebounds tonight. Those go either way usually. The Lakers were all over those.

I never believe the phrase "rebounding is all about effort" applies in the NBA. In a pick up game perhaps but in the NBA, you have to be physically imposing as well to be a good rebounder. Sure, there were players like Dennis Rodman and Jerry Lucas who did it with almost no physical advantage but they're odd cases, once in a generation type of players.

It's all about size bro. And the Lakers ARE big. There's only a couple of other teams in the league as big as them.
