I like the third image quite a bit. I used to do a lot of pen/ink art in high school, and did a lot of stippling as well. A few years ago I got into wire art. That was a lot of fun.

As for critique, it's always tough to critique abstract. I would say spend more time on facial features, as yours are very simplified and cartoonish in appearance. Maybe that's intentional. Like I said, abstract is difficult to provide insight for. You seem to have good technique and color awareness, which is the two most important aspects beyond creativity. The only other note is you have three images and three distinct styles. Try to develop one and stick with it. If you get good, often times its that look that works to promote your art.

Yeah, thanks thats what i was aiming for improvement.
How much better do you think i have gotten.
I think this is still the beginning of what i can and can do way better now that I have competion experience and watching other artists and most important learning from my mistakes.I think this is just the surface of my talent.

I think you have gotten a lot better. I can tell that you are a lot freer in your work, it looks to be that you are producing with more confidence and ease. Keep learning and familiarize your self with other artists' work as often as you can. In art there are never bad mistakes, only creative adjustments. :toast

That's bs. There is some really amazing abstract work out there. And you can always tell if somebody has talent or not just by looking at a few brush strokes.

each contest is different. some you get cash, some you get software and art supplies, some awards are your images get displayed in a Brooklyn gallery.

The fee is for them taking your image and framing it and displaying it as the judges look at it. You get many offers to sell your image so the fee pays itself.

Don't do art to try and impress anyone, let it come out naturally and forget what others think. only then can you be yourself and bring out your inner talent.
