Sense everybody is in the trade tony threads i thought id make my own.
This is strictly hypothetical tho. I dont think we should trade tony at all. :toast
But if we got this offer (not happening in reality) whats the any pros and cons of this trade?

:lmao

The problem with pondering for pondering's sake is that it has no beginning and it has no end.

I would do it...in a second...matter of fact, someone brought this up earlier this year, and I was completely against it..but now, as I've seen Rondo grow up on the court this year, I can honestly say I would.

:wakeupI think the Spurs need another "we need Stephen Jackson" thread to go along with this repetitive "Tony for Rondo" threads. :rolleyes

Why would Boston do that?

Seriously. Not that Rondo is necessarily better than a healthy Parker, but that team is essentially built around him now.

I don't know that Rondo is better at running an offense than Chris Paul or Deron Williams, but in terms of combining that with defense and rebounding, he's the heir apparent to Jason Kidd.

where was rondo in game one?

boston is 10-1 in playoffs when he has 10 assist or more

Why not trade him for Kobe? Aim high...

You know a rookie Tony Parker played better against the World Champion LA Lakers than Rondo is right now against the Lakers. Rondo has completely disappeared so far.

I really don't think people realize how good TP is.

Pointless,
Boston had the chance nine years ago to get Parker and blew it three times. No second chances.

I like Rondo as a player, but he has not and will not accomplish what Tony has.

Celtics will not trade Rondo.
There team is old and he is there future.

Could've happened..... a while ago. Not anymore. Rondo > Parker.

Rondo > every pg at the moment...

:lmao

good call

Rondo is going to be undisputed number 1 point guard if he continues to improve next season.

Right now I still say Derron Williams. Chris Paul and Rondo are tied next.

But Rondo is sick man. To steal what ShoogarBear said, this guy is like the next Jason Kidd but in a Derrick Rose/George Hill body.

I can't even call George Hill a poor man's Rondo anymore.

W/ Parker injured and Rondo the only productive member of the Celtics... totally plausible.

Oh yes I'm so sure Boston would jump at this deal...trade away their best player. Riiight. :lol :rolleyes

:toast

sure seems that way with the numbers he puts up, and the way he roams on defense.

if he learns how to make insane passes, then we've got a winner!

it was the off season, and the situation between boston and rondo was severe, if it wasnt for an outside party bringing the two sides together and showing each side what they could lose, ainge was ready to trade rondo.... you know what, why the fuck am i defending myself, i was right then and i am right now, fuck you ass clown

At least this thread improves on other more idiotic TP threads. Still a silly suggestion, but at least this one addresses the PG issue that would be left by Parker.
