would there be any teams interested?

Spurs FO is pretty good at making decisions most times on draft picks.

I've read the history of our numbered pick and it hasn't produced anyone exceptional.

Would Spurs be interested in giving away their pick if the same team would take RJ?

Would any team even be interested in our pick and RJ?

Not sure if we coupled him with the 20 anyone would be interested, but what if we moved TP for the #2.

RJ + #2 might get some offers

Only if we get a higher pick in return.

I'd seriously question the Spurs GM if he would trade RJ + our first rounder for something.
RJ's value will rise since he's going to expire soon. But deparding with our first rounder just to get rid of him is just too much.

isn't there some rule prohibiting the trading of players who have a player option before July 1st or something like that?

i would say give RJ time till the deadline since he is expiring contract....if he fits then he is in....if he doesnt then ship his ass out of SA before the deadline....anyways spurs will start playing seriously post all star break...so keep RJ and keep 20th pick...

Ya maybe a team would be willing to take RJ instead of having a chance at Lebron or any of the other 4-5 big time free agents.

the hell why would the spurs do that they would lose a guy who can give u more than 10 points a game and a 20th pick who can be solid backup small foward for now its not like rj has a long term contract with us and were not paying the luxary tax so it wouldnt matter

I think RJ is likely to be resigned this year to a lower yearly pay for 2 or 3 season. With the Spurs?

I'm sure plenty of GMs would take 20th pick and RJ and his nice expiring contract off our hands. BTW, RJ was a double figure scorer, I'm sure plenty of teams would like what he has to offer.
