No doubt Kidd will be sent packing next.

Clearing house.

No fans are coming as it is and fan support will waiver more as the team plans to move. The plan has to be to get as cheap as possible and then make moves to build a champion then.

That's why the SAR for Kidd rumors started - wanting to deal Kidd for a player that they can S&T for cheaper talent in the offseason.

Jefferson was only paid because he was so young and to have one name to show to the fans.

They're going to change their name to the New Jersey Nuts and get a sponsorship from Planters.

The problem is, he probably WANTS to play, and we already have Manu and Barry at the 2 spot, his natural position. I'd love to have another shooter here, too. I just don't see him signing for spot minutes.

he would have been ok had the spurs missed out on barry
he would be nice insurance
but dude would like 20 minutes a game and can not get them as a spur

I bet he goes to pacers

barry will get most minutes at the point....

manu and harris can get all of the minutes at the two....use bowen for spot duty....

lets not forget here, tony and manu can't shoot. when TD's on the floor, there are open long distance shots to be had, and we need more than just barry to get the job done.

I bet Kiki is going to jump on this one.

There will be about 15 mpg available at both the one and the two spots, with Manu starting this year. Almost all of those will be Barry minutes. There just isn't room for another guard who needs minutes, only spot duty for someone like Udrih.

The Spurs have said they plan on Udrih being Tony's primary backup (before today's injury), so I don't think Barry is going to see that many minutes at backup point unless Beno sucks.

Or Beno keeps getting injured.

Maybe Valter stays a bit longer....

i don't like them counting on a rookie for quality minutes....

just make the call, see if there is interest, and go from there....nothing wrong with beno sitting on the bench and learning for a year.....

i just want some insurance if/when bruce, manu, tp all pull a long range dissappearing act again.....barry is the only pure shooter. i want more, i want it all....i don't want malone. :p

manu wasn't good enough to start last year, and he isn't automatically better cuz he's 50+ million richer, of course, i sure as hell hope he is, but oh well, just sayin' ya know.
