Lakers barely pull a win out when Ray Allen goes 0-13, Paul Pierce plays like dog shit....Rasheed doesn't shoot well....

KG was on point tonight.

The Celts are a better team, even though the Lakers have better pieces.

Kobe chucking shots, Lakers stacked team still carries him so he can feel like MJ, no surprises here.

Ray Allen is a rhythm shooter. He needed some time to get into his flow in LA.

now, they switch cities back to Boston, he probably celebrated his record from Game 2 too much, who knows?

Ray will get back into his rhythm.

If Ray only has a subpar game, and not a 0-13 game, Celtics win..

Kobe's a chucker who thrives on shitty defenses.

He won't have any big games vs Boston without hogging the ball, using up a ton of Laker possessions, shot attempts, etc.

If the Celtics win the MVP goes to Kobe being their best player today. If LA wins the title it's between Fish, KG, and Ray.

You realise a lot of those "chucks" come from the Lakers being unable to get into their offense then giving it to Kobe at 24+ feet to bail them out with 5 seconds on the shotclock right?

Lakers in six. Celtics win game four, then lose games five and six.

The Lakers are the better team. They're controlled two of the three games and even the one they weren't in control of, they were still in position to win inside five minutes. That's telling. It's a struggle just for the Celtics to stay in games, let alone take or maintain leads.

Celts lose at HOME when the Lakers starting 4 other than Fish shoot a combined 19-53 (that's right, Kobe not the only one who shot bad), KG shoots 11-16, and NRob/TA/BBD shoot 9-13.

Horrible, horrible decision making from Boston during the last minute.

1st of all, they are down 3 with 50 seconds to go with plenty of time; Rivers draws a 3 pt play for Ray; that was a bad decision because Ray was COLD; he was already 0-200 at this point; Doc was expecting him to hit that shot?

Then a few possessions later, Rondo has the ball, Pierce comes of a screen on the left side, he is open for a 3, but they get the ball to Allen who goes for a 2 and misses the layup

Again, What - the - Fuck

The reality doesn't fit the story they had ready BEFORE The Finals started. Artest is Media's fall guy. To Media Ron is: the N word, he's persona non gratis in NY., and he's ripe for the pickin'. But, he won't follow their written script. He shoved Durant into a hole, then put the Suns in on top, now he's draggin' Pierce kickin' & screamin' to that same hole.

Pierce had a good game by the numbers he put up in Game 1. But I think that's a case where box scores can be a little deceptive... he got it going when Ron rested and a lot of those points were in quasi-garbage time. It wasn't quite garbage time as Boston made a run to almost get it to single digits, but it wasn't a fully competitive 4th Q either.

I hope this series doesn't turn out like the Spurs series 2 years ago where Manu went off for one game from behind the arc and we still lost the series in 5 games. That is what concerns me about this Celtic team verses 08. It seems that the players aren;t on the same page offensively like they were 2 years ago. I guess you can credit Artest for pretty much making Pierce a non-factor so far.

the only difference is that Ray Allen is healthy and shouldn't be having 0/14 shooting games, while Manu was injured.

i think they are on the same page offensively. the biggest difference b/w this team and '08 is KG's decline. Ray Allen has gone through some huge slumps before. in the '08 playoffs that was one of the main reasons they had such trouble with an inferior team like the Hawks. what helped balance that out was you knew KG was going to produce. they also had Posey, who was better than Tony Allen. but the main diffference is KG's decline. Celtics are up 2-1 in this series if KG is in his prime.

IDK why cully ...

Magic pointed it out (and he sucks in the booth)

But jon barry says Pierce is just mising open shots ...and he gives Ron a "little credit"

Thing is Ron is keeping him off the block and making him earn all his shots and forces him not to be lax with the ball or ronron is rippin' that shit out!

Giuseppe
06-09-2010, 05:45 PM
Yep, Artest is making Pierce delegate to others his responsibility. This partial "no mas" may even be subconscious. Artest is dispassionate in his work against Pierce. That's the impact of Jackson's coaching: "whip 'em, but, don't lord it over them." Same with Boston's knowledge and exploitation of Bryant. They never talk about it in public, they just live it.

Don't give anything away.

The favorite to win the title or win an entire series is extremely accurate, it's not a 1-game situation..I don't know how anybody can deny that..the fact that you're trying to argue that LA wasn't the clear favorite in this series is sad, it doesn't take anything away from the Lakers, they still won..I don't know why you're trying to deny this..

Kendrick Perkins injury gave the Lakers the championship, and even then, they barely beat a Perkins-less team.
