I thought last night's country music award shows was called the CMT Music Awards. The CMA Awards usually come on ABC.

Country music has somehow merged with teeny-pop.
Taylor Swift=Myley Cirus=John Mayer=Lady Antebellum=Fall Out Boy=Rascal Flatts=Brad Paisley=Mix 96.1-94.1 KTFM=KJ 97

The only real country still on the radio is George Strait and a select number of "Texas" country singers.

Yes, i saw i made that mistake 5 minutes after starting thread, but didnt feel like fixing it. CMA Awards are a lot better.

Overall, that was an awful award show. They should have the GAC Awards since they are the only station that actually plays country music, unlike CMT who just has redneck shows. There were no great performances, and Mellissa Peterson was so damn annoying.

anybody who doesnt write their own songs sucks. its like singing ol' mcdonald to a little kid and telling him/her that you wrote it.

Traditional country isn't my favorite genre but I do like the more pop approach it's taking. My favorite "country" guy is Vince Gill. Lady Antebellum are really solid musicians. Beats the heck out of the sampled garbage on the top 40 charts these days.
