They might. Their entire future is dependent on whether or not the Big 10 might go to 16. They were supposed to be IN. The Big 10 just got their market without having to add them. They were the one openly wanting to leave and now they've been left at the alter.

It is very likely that could happen if the Big Ten goes to 16. I guess it depends on who else the Big Ten can get. If the Big Ten could get UT and A&M they may try one last time to get ND and another school, which could range from Missouri, Rutgers, Syracuse, Maryland, etc...

If the Big Ten can't get Texas and A&M they will likely target Rutgers/Syracuse/Maryland to force ND's hand and stay at 14.

Really depends on what Texas and ND do most likely. Missouri deffinetly no longer contols its fate with the Big Ten.
