Does anyone remember me saying during the elections that when (if) the democrats win, the nation would see how they really are?

True, but when I was being chastised for proclaiming I would spoil my vote instead of voting for RINO's I held firm I thought it was a better course to see them in action, preferring a fast death of this nation over a slow one by RINO's. Gambling, this nation's voters would come to their senses before it was too late.

In my mind, a RINO would have been better than what we've gotten. There's no way McCain spends us into oblivion and nationalizes private industry as Barry has.

McCain is of the same DC insiders. All we would have had was a continued road to a slow death of this nation.

I believe you were among those who chastised me also.

This dicks legacy is about broken promises (lies) and bribes. Anyone who voted for this prick should be ashamed.

You'd better hope there's something left, at the end of this fiasco, for which it's worth waking.

Bush women run afoul of GOP orthodoxy

Mon Jun 14, 2:08 pm ET
She may have been born into a Republican family, but Barbara Bush, the 28-year-old daughter of former President George W. Bush, sounded more like a Democrat this weekend during an interview with Fox News. When "Fox News Sunday" host Chris Wallace asked her whether she supports President Obama's health care reform plan, she responded: "I guess I'm glad the bill was passed." You can watch the exchange here (video courtesy of Fox News):

"Why do, basically, people with money have good health care and why do people who live on lower salaries not have good health care?" she said. "Health should be a right for everyone." She is president of the Global Health Corps, an organization that champions global health equity.

No Republican in Congress voted for Obama's health care legislation.

Barbara Bush's comments come just weeks after her mother, former First Lady Laura Bush, professed views that departed sharply from the Republican majority opinion. During a Fox News interview, Laura Bush was asked to comment on Elena Kagan's nomination to the Supreme Court.

"I think it's great," she responded. "I'm really glad that there will be three [women] if she's confirmed. I like to have women on the Supreme Court." And in an interview with CNN's Larry King last month, she came out in favor of abortion rights and gay marriage.

That makes at least two Bushes who probably won't be invited to headline Republican campaign rallies anytime soon.

And, yet, they haven't been destroyed by the VRWC? What gives? Maybe the Republican Tent is big enough for differing views...on even contentious issues.

Other than being married to the former President, what obligation does she have to march, lock-step, with the Republican Party?

I hear the President and Mrs. Bush remain happily married.

Obama won't kill the grand old republic in just two years, it was already more or less dead when he was inaugurated. Now we're just decorating its gravesite.

what is really amazing is the fact that some posters on this thread actually buy into the complete BS notion that there is a real dichotomy between this administration and any other administration over the past 3 decades.
