Meh, I agree with you, actually. Usually if I'm moving around much (i.e., walking in high traffic areas), I won't be wearing any headphones. It's a good way to get sideswiped by a car.

I mostly use them for long commutes if I decide to take the Metro, or if I'm sitting in my office and no one else is around. It gets pretty quiet in here if one or two people call in sick, and headphones sound way better than any portable external speaker. Beyond that, sitting at home with no ambient noise is a great way to really appreciate a high quality recording.

I'm not sure if I see the irony, but I'm pretty stupid at times. However, you make a hell of a point about how one gets to 10,000. I guess there are two roads to get to 10,000. Either having a lot to say or a lot of nothing to say. The latter being analogous to getting points at trash time. I doubt anyone will celebrate my 10,000th. Especially considering 5% of them may have been spent denigrating CryHavoc for his meaningless dribble.
