Indiana 35, Detroit 22 with 2:56 left in the first half.

Larry Brown is getting exposed. This'd be right up there with him screwing the pooch last year in the Olympics.

Detroit's offense the last two times down the court consisted of Ben Wallace shooting free throws.

There is something worse than 4-down . . .

They're going to have to install new backboards before they can start the second half.

I think Detroit is the team that matches up best with the Spurs. If they can get ousted, the Spurs chances increase.

Agree TIMVP, the only team that scares me is Detroit, with them gone, it would be semi smooth sailing.

Granted, the Spurs have to beat Seattle, wich looks quite a bit tougher than it used to

The only thing that comes close to scaring me is the one

Lets give credit where credit is due...Indiana is outplaying Detroit at the moment. Foster is a beast under the boards. Hamilton is basically out of this game with a bad calf muscle. They're having to rely on Ben and Chauncy right now for their points. But it's only halftime and no need to get over confident right now.

Yes lets.

Congrats to the palace floor for screwing up Hamilton's hammy, and limiting the Piston's offensive weapons.

no give credit to the pacers who are right now dismantling the pistons.

Cant_Be_Faded
05-13-2005, 07:47 PM
yes let us all Credit the mighty 3 point shooting Chauncy Billups and his recently acquired 2nd team all defense status

ugh, now that i think about it, i dont like Detroit much either....mostly cuz of Chauncy

Aggie Hoopsfan

I think some of you are on the right track about Detroit, but it's foolish to say that Miami wouldn't be every bit the matchup that Detroit would be for us.

Cant_Be_Faded
05-13-2005, 07:56 PM
I could easily see both Nazr and Rasho becoming ineffective against Miami

And see them becoming very handy against Detroit

it all hinges upon the 2nd team all defensive prowess of chauncy

Man didn't Linsdey Hunter's block look familar? Made me think of that block on Reggie last year in the conference finals.

I think right off the bat I can tell you the disadvantage of having to guard Rasheed wallace is a big one.

BTW, this lead is down to 6

Indiana is toast.

playing stupid, Detroit is rolling,

BTW

Reggie Miller is choking ala Brent Barry.

Reggie w/ The nice O Foul

Wow, Detroit played like crap in the last few minutes. I thought they were the defending champs!?!?!?

HAHA. Wow, Pistons giving a gift to a team they should kill. Detroit deserves this loss!

Det is my Finals pick (to lose to SA of course) and they will win this series, but man! They looked like a CBA team out there tonight. LOL. They will bounce back, but MY GOODNESS!!!! That was one of the worst games I've seen inm a while (minus Game one SA v. Den)!

Pacers are playing tough. What game will have the bench-clearing brawl?

1Parker1
05-13-2005, 09:04 PM
38% shooting by Indy and like 35% shooting by Pistons. The problem with the Pistons is that they go on these offensive droughts (much like the Spurs). On paper though, they seem to have the best starting five outside of Pheonix.

Yes, Indy ran out of gas as I thought they would. But what helped was Reggie's clutch free-throws, along with Fosters and not to mention that stupid foul by Rip Hamilton on Reggie late to foul out. JO basically did the same thing a few minutes earlier....

But what a feeling. A team with no chance before the playoffs started and yet here they are. I'm not saying the series is over, but who would've thought Indy would be in this position right now and against the Pistons of all teams?

Coach Brown is complaining now about how Indiana won the game from the free throw line and how Reggie pushed off on that last minute jump shot.

Pacers should consider trading Artest next year. Clearly they can do just fine without his no-good, rapper wanna-be, thug-self.

Yep I did say that...however Indy is just halfway there from taking the series. Game four is more crucial to Indy than it is to Detroit. I hope I am wrong SASpurs21_1999, there is a lot of basketball left.
