Tougher competition and not nearly the long history of failure as the Bulls.

Regardless, only one spot matters. :toast

well for the record, since duncan the spurs are the most winning franchise from all four major sports, so give credit where it's due.

LAs gonna be at the top for quite some time though.

I think this 'list' will change drastically next year.... With LA still on top.

Those are franchise rankings, not annual power rankings. So the entire franchise's history is taken into account.

I didn't see the Dallas Mavericks on there. Weird.

Though the Bulls have 2 more Championships....aside from that decade, the franchise has been pure shit.

Meanwhile, the Spurs have a top 3 all-time winning %, only 6 losing seasons, only missed the playoffs 4 times, and have 4 Championships. This is why they are above the Bulls.

The ranking that I struggle with is the Pistons....why are they so low? They have been in 7-8 NBA Finals, winning 3 of them. Over the last 3 decades they have been one of the better teams overall. There is no way they are in the mid-teens if this is about overall franchise......They are definitely in the top 5-7 teams all-time.

some people would wonder why OKC is so high ...... good young franchise and the Seattle Sonics actually won a title and has had a few very good squads with Kemp, Pierce, GP and Schremf
