I have noticed recently a new trend amongst some of the younger ladie (even some older ones); wearing the silk teddy/lingerie tops with a pair of jeans or a skirt to clubs, social gatherings, etc.
My question to you... is this a good look? is this supposed to look sexy or what?
I don't feel it's a good look at all, looks tacky, but thats my opinion I'm a little more old school when it comes to dressing up when going out for a night on the town.
Can I get some other opinions on this?

It is just the trend. I wouldn't consider wearing that to go out on the town. That is way to casual. I've noticed people don't dress up to go out anymore. :( It is a shame.

I don't like these slutty trends.
The "nippular region" is wonderful and amazing, but when it becomes something very common it loses its effect.
Girls can dress sexy without being tacky, and those are the girls that look fine.

They have been around for a while and won't be leaving anytime soon. Unfortunately.

That looks and sounds like a Twilight Zone plot.
In fact there was a zone where this chick did not realize she was a mannequin.

I'm actuaally glad the thong trend is wearing out. Those lacy boy shorts are far more sexy. It's all about curves and imagination, not skin.
Only thing this big booty wears!! http://www.improvingsex.com/smileys/asswiggle.gif

To me, as cliche as it sounds, nothing a girl can wear makes her sexy. If she knows who she is and is very true to herself and isn’t being fake for anyone and for any reason nonetheless has a great personality, she could wear black garbage bag as a outfit and she'd still be sexy.

I agree to an extent.
I think if a girl has that attitude you speak of, then yes, even a garbage bag will be sexy.
But I disagree that clothes count for nothing towards sexiness.
Theres no way i can count all the times i've seen a ridiculously sexy dressed girl at a party.

Sexy is different for everyone. I think a woman should tease...not give everything away.

That's superficial sexiness.
Nothing wrong with it. But it's not pure in the overall picture.

I have quite a nice DVD collection and I'm a bit obsessive about it, so once I get a DVD I won't part with it. This has resulted in me having quite a few bad and obscure films in my collection.
But after viewing the Steppford wives (which I got as a birthday present), I very carefully repacked it and gave it away as a gift to somebody else! :lol
I could not find a single positive/interesting/weird/unique thing in it :(

You bring up an interesting point. How can anyone find what girls my age wear these days attractive? I've always felt very strongly that it is better not to look like a plastic doll than to try to catch a guy's eye who will not like you for who you are. Maybe that's why I'm single, but it isn't so bad as wasting so much time worrying about how I look all the time. Unfortunately, everyone's been brainwashed into being perfect, either by the media or by stupid guys who nobody wants.
See, you got me started :lol

Nicole Kidman was interesting enough for me.... but not to disreguard what you guys are saying, but have you been to the beach at any point in the last few years? My daughter tried to walk out of my house with a thong bathing suit, or what ever the damn things were called. I wouldn't let her, but when i went surfing with my son, I noticed that half the teenagers wear them now days, that i find more offensive then those silk tops. At least the cover the neccesities, albeit not as much as one would like of their children, but enough as to not be disgusting.

I don't think they look good either. They looked kinda silly when I first started seeing them pop up. I guess I just don't think anyone can wear it. I've never really been one to follow trends, I just wear whatever the heck I want lol

I love those boy shorts and hipsters! I just bought a few pairs today. I do think those feel sexy. I think I'm obsessed with buying undergarments :depressed

Hey, good lingerie makes the world go round. I was fortunate to have my best friend working at the Nordstrom's lingerie dept for a while, good discounts and lay away.
I don't think the lingerie tops are all bad though. It's comfortable, great fabric, and one of the only decent ways to wear said fabric. Then again, I've never had problems wearing opaque lingerie as shirts.

I remember back in my day girls would wear men's boxer shorts as shorts.
And I find a woman in a men's shirt and nothing else extremely sexy.

But it had to be better than day-glow.
Kori, do you remember Forenza clothes? I think The Limited sold them. I remember that line was huge in the early to mid 80s
