View Full Version : See the Refs blowing it in the Mavs game?

Ref called the foul on McCarty when McCarty wasnt even close to the play - Amare fouled him.

Avery yelled at the ref to let him know how wrong he was and got a tech, then the other refs changed the foul to Amare. AJ still has the foul. What BS.

Can there be one game where NBA refs dont blow extremely big calls?

Give a break to the refs. They have to run up and down the floor this game, and they don't have any subs to come in so they can catch their breaths.

Dallas is getting twice the calls that Phoenix is getting.

The refs are not screwing Dallas one bit...you are paranoid.

If the first 80 games didnt get them in shape for that, then they shouldnt be refs. Most of those guys are in amazing physical shape. Even the old fat ugly guys like Joey Crawford or Knick Bavetta are in really good shape.

Good to see the ref take away a point on that messed up Nash three as well.

Whats the record for hitting side glass on consecutive shots in the playoffs?
Record for letting a little canadian panty waste drive the lane in a quarter?
Record for consecutive layups and dunks missed by an overrated German?
Record for a rookie coach waiting too long to call a time out to end the Phoenix run?

Jimcs50

Nash 25 pts and 16 assists.

Mavs' strategy not working. AJ: "We need points in the paint". Well, the Mavs aren't flowing and they are forcing it to the paint and Clank, Clank, Clank.

On the other end, Nash is killing the Mavs with his change of pace, start, stop, kick-out bang. Stackhouse = worst defender in the Western Conference.

Refs aren't great but they are not blowing it in favor of any one team.

well, when you are 1-16 from downtown, I think AJ was right.

it seems the great coach of mouse AJ didn't have a clue on how to stop the Suns 3pt shootout. 12-24?

Mavs on the other had just 1-13. :cry

:lol

And at the other end they got back line Phoenix was going to attack the lane.

When you're playing transition D on Phoenix, you've got to send your swing men to the three point line, and your center to the post to cover Amare.

_allas sent everyone to the middle, and got torched.

Dallas is a great jumpshooting team, not an inside team (except for Josh Howard and Dampier). 5% from the arc is horrific, though, and they are once again back to the _allas of last year...at least for this game.

Well, if the Spurs let AD and James hammer us with pick and rolls like they did, what will Nash and Stoudemire do to us????

78 pts on 39 dunks by Amare???

Is that doable?

Yeah, I'm surrounded on all four sides by Mavs fans. Some of the samplings over the last three days:

* Dirk has the purest jump shot in the league
* No one is playing better at the swing man than Stackhouse
* Terry is the best point guard in the playoffs
* Avery is already a better coach than Pop

blah blah blah

I don't care either way Jim. Either we take them out, or Phoenix punks them, then we punk Phoenix, then say what's up.

I'd rather have them lose to Phoenix though. I've got my first review in a couple of weeks and I don't want my boss pissed about losing to my Spurs :lol.

I agree. Quit bashing the refs. They do a decent job of keeping the game in control, they aren't there to try and foul people out. If a star player is given the benefit of the doubt....that's OK too. Nobody is going to get every call right......Half the crowd is going to disagree anyway even when it IS the right call. Guys like J.James will still say they didn't do anything after trying to rip Ginobli's nose off ! As long as the game is under control and as fair as they can make it, you can live with a few missed calls. Give the refs a break ! Enjoy the game and the athleticism and live with the calls. Some will go your way, some won't !

Yep. Smack in the middle of Plano and technology row.

Everyone's got their cubes decorated. Here's how it looks in our group:

Key: M - Mavs Fan
S - (me) Spurs fan

M M M M M M
M M M M S M
M M M M M M

No free tickets, boss has season tickets on the 7th row.
