In a heart beat. Al Jefferson's injury takes about 2 years to improve. This year should be better for him.

Just throwing it out there.

Tony Parker, DeJuan Blair, 20th pick, 2011 pick for Al Jefferson, Ricky Rubio (rights), 4th pick.

However, the most consistent thing I'm hearing is that the team appears to be determined to move Al Jefferson. According to sources the Wolves have offered him to Detroit for Tayshaun Prince this week and have also contacted the Pacers about their interest in Jefferson for Troy Murphy's expiring contract.

However, the latest thing I'm hearing out of Minnesota may have the most legs. Sources have told me that the Wolves and Grizzlies have been discussing a swap that would send Jefferson to the Grizzlies for Zach Randolph. The deal would allow the Wolves to save a lot of money over time. Randolph has one year, $17.6 million left on his contract. Jefferson has three years, $42 million left.

Don't get me wrong, Blair is a beast but he'll never be a superstar. He's undersized, and that's something which prevents him from being a real superstar.

I thought about starting this thread last night, but decided against it. Doesnt really matter, because I doubt we would get in on this for what they would want for him. Also, he is not much of a defensive presence is he?

Yeah he is a bit, but he played at least 70 games 4 out of his 6 seasons. I know that isnt great, but I wouldnt consider him TMac or Grant Hill just yet.

Maybe but they want to unload that contract.

He is a one of the better post presences as far as offense goes. He can get you 20Pts. 10Rebs. 1Blk. 2Assts. while shooting %50.

Jefferson and 20th for Jefferson and 4th.

Sign me up! But even Kahn isn't *that* stupid. That kind of deal would make Isiah Thomas blush.

Great take! Should we move him for Lebron or Durant if the opportunity arises?

The Spurs need to improve their frontcourt defense, not make it worse. Can you imagine the pick and roll defense with Duncan and Jefferson on the floor? They already have enough scoring, they averaged 101 points per game this season.

I don't get Detroit's stubborn refusal to trade Tayshaun Prince, a player that has mostly sucked over the last 3 years. That they could get anything for value is reason enough to trade him.

Also, there must be something wrong with that knee if Minny wants to trade Jefferson, especially if that trade is for Randolph.

Charles Barkley had a different game than Blair.

Blair needs to be watching Big Baby film to see how he was so effective against the Laker bigs.

Not necessarily. They want the contract moved & to make room for Love. But I dont think they are going to get rid of him just for scraps.

You dont trade a good young player like AJ

He's injury prone with no defense - normally every decent franchise would try to trade him. But then, why the hell would the Wolves trade him?

I have cooled a bit on Al Jefferson, but if the Spurs could get him for just an expiring contract, that is pretty tempting.

I just wonder why they want to dump him if true?

al jeff might play no defense, then you get players to surround him that can play defense decreasing his/team weakness

They have two PFs, Jefferson resisted/didn;t like the triangle offense, and Love's a much better fit. There's no great mystery. As for Randolph, he beasted this past year. Since both he and Al J are black holes on offense, neither team should notice during the flow of play, and Minny gets their cap room.

The Randolph trade would be for a 17 Milly expiring contract that would open up the spot for Love. So cap space, and opening a position is why they are trying to move him.
