View Full Version : Any chance McDyess follows Rasheed into the sunset?

I was quite surprised by Rasheed Wallace leaving the money on the table, good guaranteed money for a guy who sure doesn't mind loafing and not playing hard entire regular seasons. At least the reports are now that he's retiring, I guess he could change his mind.

McDyess has 2 years left, though only about 1.5 guaranteed. He was open to retirement without the right situation before.

Is there any chance McDyess decides to hang it up too?

He said he was only going to play one more year... so no.

He will play one more year and then take his partial guarantee as a parting gift.

zero since he really, really wants a ring. I can still remember him sitting on the bench dejected after the Spurs beat the Pistons in 05 and every other Piston had gone into the locker room.

I'm one of those guys who feels that McDyess' contributions were of positive influence, when he played. He's one player who played his role to the letter.

I hope to have Dice back next season. Sucks how badly this one worked out, as I have really wanted to see him get a title for years.

We got guys like Kersey, Big Dog, and Finley rings, but McDyess just chose to come over at the time where Timmy's super human abilities were depleted by Age and wear.

First he asked: Is Haislip a lock to finish the season as a Spur?

http://spurstalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=144032

Then he asked: is Michael Finley a candidate for getting bought out by the deadline?

Now he asks: Any chance McDyess follows Rasheed into the sunset?

Now I know that Dice has gone on record that he will play one more season, but that was before objective started a thread questioning his future employment with the Spurs.

I'm gonna miss you, Dice.

:lol I was actually thinking that if he was considering hanging them up, we could use him like an ending contract to get Mike Miller.

Dice has 1 good year left in him. Hopefully he can mentor and give Splitter some pointers. I like the thought of a TD, Splitter, Blair, Dice, and maybe a stretch 4 frontline. :tu

McDyess is more soild at the moment than Wallace! Wallace is way out but McDyess can score 6 points a game and bring us some defense!

If he thinks the Spurs have any even remote chance of winning a ring next year he will stay.
