This sucks, but they improved upon last world cup. If they can improve again next world cup and get to the quarters then soccer in America is definitely on the right track. Only problem is Donovan will be 32. In the next 4 years some youngsters are gonna have to step up.
Bradley, Torres, Edu, Altidore, and Feilhaber are young and have a chance to be back. Many others I don't know.

Altidore was booty. Dude wasn't ready for the big stage.

I would add that Bradley could work out a bit more in the motivation department. Can't be they only start playing when they get into a hole. I don't have a problem with his tactics, but players never seem to play for 90 minutes.

That's going to be very difficult. They tried to convince Guiseppi Rossi. I haven't heard of any young strikers making news, unless someone appears from the college ranks.

Even though they had the potential to go even further. They did good. This loss sucks but, you should be proud on this team and the way they fought. Also, it's not really the coach his fault. They did pretty good, the team as a whole and the coach too.
Now, they should continue like this, hopefully we see a lot of them in the future.

It weird because the US lost on two individual plays. Bad goalkeeper positioning, bad marking.

USA seem to lose focus very easily, especially at the start of play. At the end of the day the coach can only do so much with the players he's given.

This. You can have the best coach in the world, but players still gotta play.

IronMexican is right, you never such the fuck up about referees :lol
:lol yeh i have to let it all out now. It is tough when your World Cup is thrown into Chaos coz of a stupid Mexican ref who likes red cards. Wouldn't matter so much if it wasn't such a quick group stage. Have to wait another 4 years now :lol
Anyway............it happens

Seems US & AUS Soccer are very much alike. The country gets behind the team for the World Cup, hope is high etc etc. Once they get knocked out, soccer is 4gotten for 4 more years and people go back to focusing on sports the country is good at :lmao

:lmao @ deliberate. He had his freakin' eyes closed and stood his ground. It was no where near deliberate.
Anyway, that ref is a joke. It was proven again with his crappy reffing in Chile vs Spain.

Everyone is saying it was a bullshit call, but look at it. He clearly moves his arm and the ball hits it, preventing a goal.

Too bad Ayew is suspended for the Uruguay match for Altidore tripping over himself.

congratulations to Ghana! They willed themselves to victory today in front of their home crowd. They simply decided that they were not going to lose today, and out hustled a very tough U.S team. They looked liked the 2005 San Antonio Spurs out there, but the U.S. had their chances to steal the game at the end.

US might get somewhere when they decide not just to play in the last 5 mins of a game.

Most of these games are decided on one or two plays either way.

That was overblown. The US was just not consistent with their lineups and play. When they won they barely won and when they lost they barely lost, they were just an average team in this World Cup, not that special.
