View Full Version : If true, Lebron is nothing more than a Whore!

If Labron is going to the Bulls this has been his intent all a long. He's made Cavalier fans humiliate themselves for him. He's teased the NY Knicks to the point of unloading everything for HIM. If true, I've come to the opinion that James[ Forget king] can't stand not winning and now needs the best cast to supplement him so he can continue his own legacy. Compare him to David Robinson who could of chosen any other team but decided to fulfill his committent fo SA. Totally free but committent to a team that sucked. If Lebron really believed he is the MAN he would sign with a losing team. He really doesn't. He knows he can't improve a team like Bird, Magic and Robinson did. He ain't the real deal! He knows it and now we should all know it.

Great logic LOL..

Magic asked for a trade(or complained about issues in the organization) and Robinson's shitty supporting cast didn't allow him to win a title..

Are you really saying that a player shouldn't look for the best possible supporting cast?..

If anything, the other teams are whores because they go to meet the guy to pitch their team on neutral ground instead of LeBron going to their cities. Speaking about that, the best roster now to acquire LeBron has to be the Bulls.

I think it would be much more stupid to go to a losing team. Professional athletes want to win. Why not go to a team with a good chance to win? I guess it makes too much sense.

I always suspected that James knew all along where he will end up. Read the yahoo sports column. He is meeting 6 teams in Akron in 3 days. That suggests that his choice will be made less then a week into free agency. Of course it will made in a dramatic primetime press conference host by Stuart Scott. He will blather on about his hometown roots before announcing he is going to Chicago with the RuPaul of big men.

It makes him SMART, not weak and bad, to want to go to a good team next year. Your logic reeks of asininity.

LA as a model fanchise? Terry Bradshaw as your role model? If Bradshaw was and NBA like Lebron, would have gone to the highest bidder. Let's go to a league with no salary cap at all. Richest take all! Did any of you moron's notice that Chicago, NY and Miami are only in the hunt for the king. Wake up fans? In the last 12 years only one minor market has won a championship and been competitive for years beyond. Guess what? If only 3 to 5 major franchise can compete---fxxx the NBA!! It's an old saying from my father " The rich will alway get richer and poorer will always get poorer" I accept that in life but I expect more in the NBA.

Fire coach, have GM leave! It ain't his fault! If this guy had any cojones he will come back to Cleveland to finish the job. Lebron wants a no lose situation. Lady Gaga could be the coach as long as he wins and gets to hold up the trophy.

Nothing wrong per se but it's amazing a player with no rings can overshadow a Celtics/Lakers Final and the NBA draft outside of John Wall.

Does anyone here really think LeBron can win a title with D'Antoni? Imagine D'Antoni down by 1 point in Game 7 and needing a stop to have a chance to win the game. Does not inspire confidence does it?

No, Lebron is gonna need a coach who will hold him accountable if he hopes to win, just like Wade, Kobe and MJ needed one.

Lebron's best bet at winning a title is Wade & Riley in Miami, but they problem there is he won't be able to win a title without someone who already won a title as the main man so it doesn't look as good.

Fail Thread.... All those players you mentioned couldn't win a title without a HOF or two. Lebron James however did something none of them could do and thats make it to the finals without an allstar....

This is pretty accurate I think.

I'm thinking 65% chance he stays in Cleveland and 35% chance he's a Bull.

The East was so weak. That's no accomplishment. He didn't even win a fucking game. Kobe has no HOF'er on his team. You guys can inflate Pau all you want but Kobe has gone back2back with only one borderline Allstar, a broke down center and a washed up PG.

lol

And sorry to break it down to you (I know how you like to bring down players on your own team) but Pau has more than a solid chance to get to the HoF.

The Spurs had to give David Robinson one of the most ridiculous contracts in NBA history to get him here. He signed a 10 year deal that guaranteed him the average of the two highest other salaries in the NBA every single year. Luckily for the Spurs and Spurs fans, he tore that deal up about 5-6 years in.

Based upon his play, he won't, but him playing in LA automatically increases his chances. Just like his all-star bids. He was only an all-star once prior to LA, now he's a lock every season.

Based on his play and accomplishments.

According to the formula basketball reference uses, Gasol has a 44% chance as it stands, I'm not sure if he's accomplished internationally to the point where that changes, but if he makes another AS team and wins another title next year his chances shoot up.

Rookie of the year, all-stars, all-NBA teams, FIBA WC, Silver medal in the Olympics, NBA championships, among other things.

If he isn't already in, he's pretty close.

If Pau ends up getting in, it will be largely because of being on the Lakers and the multiple championships. He was basically a borderline all star before joining the Lakers. But the two NBA championships alone help his cause tremendously. I think the point might have been had he not joined the Lakers, he probably would be just a borderline all star, going a handful of times in his career, and not even being on the radar for the HOF, even with his international success.

As an individual player, I could make the argument that Chris Webber would deserve to be in the HOF more than Pau. And I don't think C-Webb is getting in. But the two championship teams he's now been a part of has changed things for Pau.

I grew up watching the Jordan Bulls, and I just miss the good old days where great teams were made the hard way, mostly via the draft.

The Spurs championship teams were basically the same way, Tony and Manu draft day steals, and a little luck obviously with Timmy, but still a drafted player, not some situation where great player A joins the same team as great player B so they can have super team C.

I don't agree with any of this. Sure he is testing the free agent waters, and the Cavaliers fans really have no say in his next career move. If he signs with the Bulls it will be because he feels it's a good fit for him and there is a winning tradition built in Chicago through Michael Jordan, which he would hope to build on. I think he has done all he can in Cleveland to try and bring that city an NBA championship. When he came into the NBA the Pistons were dominating the East, when they beat them and played the Spurs his supporting cast wasn't that great. Than Boston made a huge move and acquired Garnett and Allen and they were the East's elite, plus Orlando with Howard, there were better teams than Cleveland in the East and it showed despite the regular season success. If he signs with the Bulls that team has enough talent to win an NBA championship, if not next year than soon. Derrick Rose is an amazing player and LeBron has never played with such top talent before. The Cavaliers have done what they could and his team just didn't have what it took to win it all. He did all he could there to help, so if he moves on and sign with the Bulls or any other NBA team it's because he feels it's time to move on, it's his NBA career. If he resigns with the Cavaliers I don't think they will have enough to beat Boston or Orlando next season, with Chicago there is a huge chance he could get back to the NBA finals again.

Then the prefect fit would be with the Nets. Ok I know they sucked last year, but they have decent players and they do have a coach who at least did hold players accountable in the past, that's what I heard anyway. Now with that said I still think he stays with Cavs, but you know

I think they could be enough to beat Boston if he resigns with Cavs, but Orlando maybe not. If Lebron signs with Chicago, that'd be awesome, I'm not Bulls fan, but I enjoy watching them from time to time

Lets do the math together....

Kobe - Pau Gasol = missing playoffs in 2005 + 1st round exit in 2006 and 2007

Kobe + Pau Gasol = 3 straight finals appearances.

You see what I did there?

Dumbasses wow:lol

Okay Lakaluva first of all you call Derek Fisher washed up? I can't even count how many crucial plays that guy made for L.A. in these playoffs. Yeah the man doesn't put up gaudy numbers, but he damn well puts his heart out there and wins games for L.A. You are dumb as hell.

I think Gasol showed his true toughness in Game 7 when Kobe went 6-24 and Gasol, not Kobe, was hitting more crucial buckets, including that tough hanger over KG and Sheed with 1:30 left on the clock.

Bynum was hurt but he sure as hell helped on the boards. The team who won the rebounding war won each game so STFU.

Oh and Artest? Best performance in Game 7, easily.

I'm a huge Kobe fan and protect him a lot, but you are absurd. Even Kobe himself always says he couldn't have done it without his guys. So what would your dumbass know?
