I'm hoping the Spurs give him or Sherron Collins a look. With R.C. being a Kansas guy, Collins may hook up with the Spurs somehow.

Collins is going to play with Charlotte in Summer League, I believe.

Collins is fat as hell, I like CJ who we already have in our system with Hill and Parker we dont need another pg.

Hill's as much a PG as Beabiuos (spelled that wrong for sure.) point is, we need a backup that can actually play point as a pure 1 guard. Reynolds is an option

You're correct, good call.

Did he get fat recently?

Are you talking about Carldell Johnson? Garrett Temple makes the team before he does.

Reynolds is not a pure pg, which is why he was not drafted. Hill will be the spurs starting pg either this year or next if he is not traded. Pops has stated he will be the next Avery Johnson for this team, and sees him as a pg. Hill just needs more time to develop at pg.

It take 3 years for must guys to switch from sg in college to pg in the NBA.

Reynolds is more of PG than Hill, IMO. Hill will not be the starting PG as long as Tony is around.

I think Temple has the make up of a real good starter in the NBA if he keeps working hard. To see the spurs go with Temple, Manu and Anderson with Blair and Dice or Ian as a second unit really gets me pumped.

Im not sure TP will be around.......and Reynolds is more turnover prone than Hill. Reynolds was thought of to be a first round pick last year had he played well, he just does not have the court vision or passing skill set of a pg in the NBA.

That said he will do well over seas and may get a shot in the NBA someday soon.

Do you think Tony simply walks after the season or do you see him getting traded around the deadline? I want the Spurs to retain Parker but they're in a tough situation and need to tread carefully.

TP to Indy for George, TJ Ford, Roy Hibert and a 2future first rounder picks.

TP to Tor for 2 first round picks, ED Davis and Derozan

TP to NJ for Favors, D Harris and Courtney Lee

TP to Portland for Rudy, Oden, Miller and 2 first rounders...

NJ might think about that trade for a minute before hanging up, the other three teams are laughing too hard to hang up the phone.

exactly - I realize you r making the point of not trading TP unless you get excellent value in return - but to get 2 first rounders along with the players being moved is just a joke

I have no problem bringing another talented player in for Summer League, though Reynolds will have better opportunities to make other teams.

I'd like to see Reynolds in SL..just to see what he can do...nothing guaranteed, it's worth a shot.

Reynolds isn't a PG at all. He's a scorer with decent ball-handling ability who can make the open/obvious pass, but is not a facilitator for anyone other than himself. He's an average athlete, is short and undersized, and isn't a consistent shooter.

I have loved Nova since Wright took over, so I'm pretty partial to Reynolds as a player, but I don't think he has a single skill or ability that translates to the level the NBA requires.

Man, if we could get Devin Harris and Favors, I would absolutely pull that trigger. Courtney Lee would just be icing on that cake. I don't see a snowflake's chance.

Scoring PGs are expendable if there are defensive ones on the cheap. (I don't know how much you guys cheered when the stupid Harris/Kidd trade happened, but I sure as sin, did.) If the Rapers can win with Derek Fucking Fisher (http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=102469109045&ref=ts) then we can trade him for a defensive BIG as long as we get a true passing point guard that can play MEAN defense and shoot the three to further keep the opposing guard tired.

Basically, we need Luke Ridnour, but that's NOT gonna happen. :nope

I would prefer to give Mikhail Torrence or Jerome Randle a look before Reynolds. Collins over Reynolds as well..... Most of these guys have already accepted invites tho, but Torrence is still up in the air on what he's gonna do. Supposedly has offers from "five or six teams".

Well, with the news that the Suns have signed Reynolds, I'm going to amend my initial critique....

Reynolds is a PG in the truest sense. He's a scorer with ball-handling abilities that will devastate even the best perimeter defenders. Despite being able to make the forced/fancy pass, his genius lies in his execution of the game's simplicity, where he facilitates for everyone through his use of the obvious/open pass. His athleticism is deceptively average, which works to lull his defenders to sleep. His height and size, while not average, make him the tank in the lane that he's proven to be, and while his shot doesn't go in all the time, he's clearly a fantastic shooter about 40% of the time.

My Love for Nova and appreciation for Jay Wright aside, it's obvious that Reynolds has not just one skill that translates, but the entire game to translate to and transform the NBA.

:rolleyes I'll be shocked if he makes the 15-man roster.

Sarver will approve of his price tag.

That may be the only way. If Taylor Griffin can make it, why not Reynolds?
