Job Requirements This creative and detailed individual works closely with the Senior Editor to write, fact-check, and prep content for digital channels. These include H-E-B and Central Market web sites, emails, and social media that support the company' strategic marketing and communication goals.
Summary/Responsibilities of this position:
-Work collaboratively with Senior Editor and Team 360 Partners to develop online content in sync with seasonal advertising and marketing initiatives
-Generate articles and campaign ideas to support the online editorial calendar
-Write, factcheck, and proof copy for H-E-B and Central Market web sites, email campaigns, and social media
-Ensure that copy is SEO-friendly and consistent with branding and style guides
-Collaborate with Web Designer to ensure online content syncs with overall design
-Work with Content Administrator to schedule day-to-day web maintenance and copy updates, such as events and new products
Preferred Education/Experience:
-2 to3 years online writing, editing, and marketing experience
-Experience and passion for food and cooking
-Bachelors degree in Journalism, English, Communication, or Business
-Knowledge of marketing best practices in digital channels
-Ability to prioritize, write, and copy edit in a fast, deadline-driven environment
-Experience monitoring and maintaining pages on Facebook and Twitter
-Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
-Working knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
-Comfortable working with a custom-built CMS
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
